Of course, the biggest draw is the slopeside location for prime ski-in/ski-out access. The building features a front desk and concierge in main lobby, with the popular El Sabor restaurant, great for takeout or grab-and-go meals, just off the main lobby as well. One floor up you’ll find the business center, pool and hot tubs! Should you need ski gear, Charter Sports is right on the second floor, catering to skiers of all levels. Also on the second floor are coin operated washers and dryers. Off the property you’ll find Vail General store and Lionshead Liquors just around the corner. All nearby Lionshead restaurants and shops are a short distance away for when you’re not spending your time on the slopes. Adventure Ridge at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola operates day and night, in both winter and summer, for unbeatable family fun!

This place is magical! From the moment you get to the village, enter the lobby and the kindness of the front desk agents, then at the clean room they received us with a bottle of wine and natural fresh flowers. Our room at first floor super cool with kids or snow lovers. Just steps from the gondola access and very centric from everything at lion square village. Friday night at lobby free wine, prosecco, cheese etc… everyday complementary coffee and te with cookies. The concierge can help you with other adventures like snowmobile, tubing and transportation. Definitely recommended and will be back with our family.

Loved the ski in/out location with the ski valet. Short walk, easy for our little kids, to get to all the village restaurants and shops. Nice comfortable room, great staff, kids loved hot tubs and pool.

Amazing stay

Our room opened up to a beautiful grassy area which was awesome for our kids to play. The view was amazing and it was conveniently located by the pool. The staff were all lovely and very accommodating. Room was clean and quiet. I’d highly recommend. Also a bonus that we were steps from the gondola. Will definitely come back.

all about location

Ski in/out can't be beat. The room itself is just a basic hotel room-- quite small for a family with 2 kids and all the ski gear and food etc... but at least there was a microwave and mini-fridge. I wish daily maid service was part of the deal (when you pay $1500 for two nights!) because we had to ask for towel exchange, more shampoo, taking trash out etc... That being said- the location and ski valet made it so easy- nice that there is a restaurant on-site and coffee/tea in the lobby. Pool and hot tub were great too- pool heated adequately that my kids could swim in 35 degree weather. Excellent experience overall.

Small but comfortable

This room is on the ground floor of the Lion Square Lodge South. Two complaints. First, blackout shades please. Second, mattresses are approaching the end of their lifespan. Now the good stuff. Crazy close to the Eagle Bahn Gondola and Born Free Express. The hotel keeps your skis outside by the gondola so you basically walk out, grab your skis and get in the gondola. I have never been to a better ski in/ ski out. You could only beat it by having a room closer to the elevator. Employees are very nice and the room was always clean when we returned at the end of the day. Shower works well, water is instantly hot. Plenty of room to keep your luggage and clothes out of sight if you can keep your kids from shedding everything on the floor. Reception has hot chocolate, the place is clean and quiet. Had a small fridge and microwave. We bought bread and lunch meat for sandwiches. A little tight with two kids but I would absolutely stay here again. I wish it had a kitchenette.

Great location

This location is perfect and the pool and hot tubs are well kept and regularly cleaned. The room we stayed in was small, but clean and had a walk-out patio onto the grass which was great! There was a large wedding on Saturday afternoon that was fun to see getting set up, but there was lots of trash leftover into Sunday. I assume they were not fully staffed which is why trash was allowed to be left for so long. There is also a restaurant onsite. The service in the restaurant was great, but the food mediocre. Due to cleanliness of rooms and location, I would definitely stay here again!

Awesome location!

We didn’t spend much time in the room because we spend all day on the slopes and the evenings in lionshead and vail village! It’s such an awesome location- so easy to walk between villages, to restaurants, shops, etc. Very easy access to multiple lifts - a dream ski in/out! The views were beautiful, and accommodation was lovely.

Great location!

You really can’t beat the location and convenience for skiing. There is a ski valet steps from the gondola where you can leave your skis and this room was just down the elevator and one hallway. We went back to our room for lunch each day, which was great. We could go out our back door and walk right over to the pool and hot tubs. Parking is also super convenient and included. Overall, we had a great stay with our 2 kids and would definitely stay there again.
