Fabulous!

We had a fabulous stay in Akaroa. The house is a short walk into town which meant it was very quiet with fantastic views of the bay but still handy for going into town for all the shops & restaurants. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. A great stay.

We're definitely coming back!

Loved the property - great location, cleanliness of the highest standard, log burner was fantastic in the bad weather, but plenty of other heating options available if fire starting skills aren't in your repertoire. Very cosy with great amenities/facilities. Welcoming hosts and great communication throughout.

Lovely relaxing getaway

Great spot in Akaroa just past the lighthouse. The house was very well set up with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. When we arrived the fire was already going and there was milk and chocolate in the fridge for us. The location was quiet and private. The driveway was not the easiest to navigate and found parking at the cemetery and then a short walk was easiest for us.Giving two thumbs up for this property and would recommend. Many thanks

Insect issue

Maggots were present in downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Cleaner informed us they were aware of this issue before we arrived. Cleaner was great. But concering they rented this property knowing. Still trying to resolve concerns.

Hi Brad, As we've informed you multiple times, this occurred on your arrival date and we had our housekeeper promptly address the bugs that were found on arrival in the lower level of the house. The previous guests who departed the same day you arrived did not report anything like this to us. We've offered you alternative accomodation which you did not accept and tried calling and texting you repeatedly with no response. We have offered you a 50% refund on the 3 nights you chose to spend here. I'm sorry this is not enough of a resolution for you, however seeing as you opted to continue your stay in the house instead of relocating, we assume this is not as serious an issue as you've made it out to be.
