Beachfront, Old Beach Pods - Te Moana

Our pods offer the unique experience of private luxury glamping whilst being nestled in the heart of old beach Waikanae. You can have a quiet drink on the deck overlooking Kapiti Island and then step out for a meal at one of the vibrant local cafes and restaurants.

If you want to stay home, the pods have top quality cooking facilities and BBQs. After dinner, you can have a night cap around the fire or in the outdoor bath.

The 36m2 brand new architecturally designed pods are self-contained on their own spacious sections, and are fully kitted out with high quality furnishings and amenities. Free Wi-Fi is provided which makes working with a beach view a great option if you want a longer stay. For those who prefer to hunker down with a movie, there are large television in both pods and comfortable couches.


When you wake up in the morning, the local cafes will be open for coffee and croissants - you are close enough to get them home whilst still hot for breakfast in bed with a view.


There are plenty of local attractions and activities in the area. The cycle trails are very popular and the pods have charging for e Bikes available. Waikanae beach is literally out the front gate and is a stunning wide, flat beach for walking. There are tennis courts down the road for the highly active. The area also hosts Nga Manu Nature reserve, swimming pools, distilleries and a great farmers market.


There is plenty to do, or you can stay at home and just chill in one of the most stunning places on the coast.


BEDROOM
The bedroom is perfectly proportioned and beautifully designed. Featuring a king-sized bed, dressed in classy linen and lush pillows, everything is top quality and designed to feel luxurious. There are generous built in wardrobes and ample storage so you can enjoy a clutter free retreat. To cap off the zen experience, you will wake up to the sounds of the waves, and a view of the sea and Kapiti island.



KITCHEN

Te Moana boasts a modern kitchen that is fully equipped with all of the modern appliances you will need whilst on holiday. Featuring a sleek oven, gas cook top, dishwasher and breakfast island bench, it is the perfect spot to sit for morning coffee or prepare a meal. Good quality glassware is provided, to accompany the complimentary welcome bottle of bubbles.


BATHROOM

The pod contains a stylish modern bathroom including a generous walk-in shower with a luxurious rainfall showerhead. The space also contains a vanity with storage space, a well lit mirror, and toilet, all chosen to give a sense of style and class. Good quality soaps and towels are provided.



OUTDOORS

Outdoor living takes centre stage in the pods with an open air bath, outdoor fire, BBQ and spacious deck under a pergola for sun and wind protection. There is also a private courtyard, lush green grass area and a fully fenced, dog friendly section.



It really is a space where you can imagine you are at a private luxury retreat, but just 40 minutes north of wellington.
