Large private residence on 10 acres located within minutes of 5000 acres of public hunting land. Newly finished facility is perfect for larger groups that want to hunt a variety of game birds, or maybe just need a place for multiple families or friends to stay for an event occurring in the area.

Pheasant trip

This lodge worked out great for my family on a Pheasant Hunting trip to the area. Plenty of room inside and out. We had 7 adults stay and easily could have fit more. We will be back!

Great place, just hadn't been recently visited so was less clean than anticipated (sheets appeared unwashed); washing machine spin cycle did not work so was difficult to complete laundry.Overall a wonderful location and home - spacious and we enjoyed it.We did receive quick communication with host regarding issues found on first night.Appreciate responsiveness and helpfulness.

We had a great time. Hunting was a bit difficult with the snow, but access to area public land was convenient. The house was perfect for our group. We will definitely try to get back earlier in the season.

Great possibilities

Beautiful property and unique experience! So grateful for an opportunity to stay close to our small hometown. The communication was acceptable. This property checked all the boxes online, but in reality it fell short in a few areas. We rented the property for the weekend with 7 people staying overnight. When we opened the refrigerator/freezer, they were both half full with the owners personal food. The cupboards are mixed with owners personal food and property and what is available to use for dishes, cooking, etc. There is no free cabinet storage for the renters pantry item and very limited counter space for food prep. The provided washer/dryer was not ready to be used (water turned off and difficult to get to) and the discharge was more than the floor drain could handle. The stove top and gas grill were in need of cleaning and TLC. There was no main yard light at night. The VRBO pictures were great but not labeled, so we didn’t realize the property has 4 bedrooms with beds on the main level and a loft upstairs with 7 more beds. The categories like amenities, etc. are vague and often blank. We enjoyed our family time and are grateful for the chance to stay together. For the price tag, we were expecting more, especially in the kitchen area.

Great Hunting Lodge

Second year out for an annual pheasant hunt. Great access to public land, lots of birds in the area and the lodge is perfect for a group of hunters and their dogs to recover from a day of hunting. We had a great time.

Pheasant Hunting

This is the second year in a row my family has stayed here for a pheasant hunting trip. It's a beautiful property and there is great public hunting land across the street. They accommodate dogs and the place has all the amenities needed for a trip like this. I can't recommend it enough.

A Nice Quiet Place

It was the perfect set up for us to rent this place which was near where our son was getting married in Minneota. The property was neat and the building clean. We appreciated the bottled water in the refrigerator after our long trip from Nebraska. It was easy to get to the property and we had the advantage of two towns to get groceries. It fit my disabled husband's needs very well. I'm glad you had it available. Thank you and God bless you.

Great Hunting Lodge

Our group has been doing an annual pheasant hunt with our dogs for the past 7 years, many of them in South Dakota. This property was in a great location to take advantage of some wonderful public hunting land and hangout afterwords. We saw many birds and got some them, a great home base for a group of hunters.

We had a great stay at this property. It worked perfectly for our bachelor party, would love to come back hunting season also. We had issues with a breaker and they had somebody there fixing it immediately. The only downside was that even with the AC the loft still gets warm.
