Stirling Lodge getaway at the base of Mt Buller

Stirling Lodge - your perfect retreat at the base of Mt Buller. You will have sole use of the entire property, pool (summer season only) and grounds. The property backs onto national park bushlands. Relax in the tranquil garden, equipped with large trampoline and monkey bar set and enjoy the open fire pit while you gaze at the stars. This property in ideally situated at the bottom of Sawmill Settlement and is walking distance to the bus stop to Mansfield and Mt Buller (Winter Season only)

The space
Nestled in tranquil Sawmill Settlement, Stirling Lodge is a cosy and perfectly located base for exploring the mountains, river and wildlife. You will have sole use of the whole property which is ideally suited for two families (with kids) wanting to explore the area.

Inside you will find 2 large bedrooms with queen beds and bunk beds. These rooms have panel heaters to keep you warm at night. These rooms are located off the comfortable open plan living/dining/kitchen area which includes a split cycle heater and a traditional wood burner to keep the house cosy. The living room has a 50 inch smart tv which has access to Netflix, Stan & Kayo. Wifi is provided at the property but we ask that guests are respectful when using wifi as there is a download limit. A selection of board games is available. The dining area has two separate 4 seater dining tables which can be pulled together to seat a larger group. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, electric oven with gas cooktop, microwave, food processor, hand blender and steamer. It will be stocked with tea bags, soda stream and coffee beans from the local Mansfield Coffee Roaster for guests to use in the Breville Barista Coffee Machine. Basic condiments are also provided in the kitchen such as Olive Oil, Ketchup, BBQ Sauce, Mayonnaise and Hot sauce.

Beyond the living room you will find a third large bedroom with a queen bed, microwave, mini fridge, private entrance and open plan ensuite with bath. This room is heated by a split cycle heater.

The property has a further bathroom with shower and a separate wc. A laundry room is also available with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The property is able to accomodate 10 guests (maximum of 6 adults). We find that the property works really well for up to 2 families.

A porta cot and Ikea high chair are available. You will need to bring your own linen if you wish to use the porta cot.

Bedlinen and towels are provided for all guests.

Outside you will find a newly installed solar heated mineral pool (7m x 3.5m), for use in the summer and shoulder seasons.

There is ample garden space to explore and plenty of wildlife to watch from the deck seating area. The deck also has a 10 seater dining table and an undercover BBQ for guests use. The garden has a XL trampoline and Funky Monkey set (not currently pictured) to keep the children entertained. There is a fire pit with seating for guests use. Please be aware of fire ratings in the area and ensure all fires are extinguished fully. A fully stocked woodshed is available outside for the wood burner inside. Please be respectful of this area and keep it tidy.

Parking is available for up to 4 cars off-road.
