Perfect Place For US

We were able to secure this home for the weekend of our family reunion. It was the perfect place for us.The house has many rooms and we were able to have a small gathering for my teenage cousin’s birthday. The young people had room to play games and the older people had room to sit, talk, watch TV, or just talk.The large outside area is great to play games, throw the football, or fire up the grill. We had our reunion at the park which, by the way, is in walking distance of the house .The park, Alexander Stephens State Park is one of the top 10 parks in the state and offers more entertainment for anyone willing to take the short trip from the lovely home to the park.We chose to enjoy the comfort and space of the house for the evening and night after having the reunion at the park.It was the perfect place for US!

To start with, it seemed to us like this was the first time rental for this property and nothing was ready to have customers staying in the place. Things we found that should have been taken care of prior to guest arrival:Provide bathroom toiletries other than paper and hand sanitizer. Clean the hair and dust from the tubs and sinks. Master shower completely clogged up and did not drain until I poured Liquid Draino in the drain; which helped a bit. In the kitchen you needed to remove the packaging from the inside of dishwasher and secure it so that it does not move when the door is opened. We found plastic utensils everywhere and only a few cups, glasses and plates. The house holds at least 6 guests and there were barely enough settings for three. The 3 car garage was really a one vehicle car port. Fit and finish of the place seemed less than half complete. Walls and trim were painted but very poorly done and probably needed a second coat. Paint dripping on countertop and windows. No cable. No internet. I think it was just not connected yet. Still appeared like a construction site. Outside temperatures at night were below freezing and two of three bedrooms had no heat source or very minimal at best. Only positive point was the secondary contact, Kevin was great and did help us by providing supplies that should have been at the property before we arrived. The primary contact was none responsive.

We appreciate your candid feedback as we navigate our first bookings. Since then, we’ve completed updates including professional touch-up painting, ceiling molding, thorough plumbing flushing, fully stocking the kitchen with additional dinnerware, and hiring a pest control contractor to spray for bees and spring insects. We’ve also ensured the A/C, heating, high-speed internet, and cable are working properly, cleared the exterior, and confirmed the driveway can support 3 cars plus 2 additional vehicles in the garage/carport. These updates help ensure a polished, comfortable, and professional experience for all future guests.
