Located alongside the North Toe River, this beautiful camping rental makes the perfect escape! The 16x20 tent offers 2 queen platform beds & foldout futon, with room for cots. Glampers will enjoy cozy linens and furnishings, plenty of privacy, and close access to the shared facilities on-site which include Men & Women restrooms with hot water showers & outdoor kitchens. Guests can park their vehicle right behind the tent. Great for romantic weekends or a family trip!

There are 5 total tents available for rent. All tents are about 20feet from the river bank. You can literally see fish from the tent deck in the crystal clear water. Great for fishing, tubing, kayaking, floating, or just wading in the water.

Access to 63 acres of wooded property filled with walking trails, two natural springs and tons to explore! 600 feet of river frontage, perfect for swimming, floating, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Surrounded by the Great Smokey Mountains and Short Drive to Downtown Burnsville, plus just 40 minutes from Asheville.

Perfect solo getaway

This place was wonderful, peaceful and exactly as shown. Tents are cozy and simplistic. River can be heard all night while sleeping and a train track runs behind property so you get the occasional sound of the train, which I found enjoyable. The best part we’re hosts Toni and Marty. Truly friendly, warm, helpful hosts for a single girl struggling to build a fire. I would definitely love to stay here again in the future ❤️❤️💕💕💕

Campground across gravel road from double train tracks, trains came by two to three times per day, several times at night. No signage to help locate property, took an hour to locate with GPS. Only communication with host was text sent by mom. Beautiful area, comfortable bed. Will not return.

HI Marlene, sorry to hear you didn't have a great time at our location. Just want to note that the single train track is noted in our listing in the description and the pictures posted. We make it very clear that we are in no control of the train or its schedule. I do apologize that it came by during your 5 day stay. Texting is the most effective way of communication in the area, this is why we use that method. Also, so you can read back if you need to see something again, like directions to site. You should have let us known you were unhappy and we could have moved you to site 2 with no train if that was the problem. Regards, Rusty

Fantastic Stay

The property is absolutely beautiful and in a prime location. My group was able to hike Mt. Mitchell over our new years stay. It is an awesome set up at Rusty's Roost.

Really cool spot, has everything you need. If you like to camp but also like to be comfortable this is the place for you.

I’ve always been a big component for bringing families and friends together and getting kids to explore the outdoors. Rusty’s Roost River Camp offers the common comforts we’re accustomed too while still encouraging families and friends to put down the phones and get outside. The biggest reward so far is seeing the pictures of families making memories somewhere I created. These memories will outlast any tablet or video game. Grab a pole, hop on a tube and enjoy this beautiful place.
