Whimsical Waterside Cottage

This charming cottage, nestled in the tranquil setting of Leggat Lake in Sharbot Lake, Ontario, offers a perfect blend of traditional comfort and modern convenience. Boasting three bedrooms and one bathroom, it provides ample space for up to six guests to enjoy a relaxing retreat. Situated in Eastern Ontario, it offers an easy drive from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), making it accessible for weekend getaways or extended vacations. When you first pull up to the cottage, you will notice the fence along the property edge, while you’re welcome to pull forward to unload, we recommend parking beside the cottage, on the opposite side of the fence to not impede on the stunning views of Leggat Lake from the cottage.
The cottage features modern amenities and finishes, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests. The cozy interior is complemented by a big grassy lawn, ideal for outdoor activities and lawn games. In this same area you will find a picnic table beside the firepit, which is a quick step outside the cottage door and off the deck. Speaking of deck, on the deck, outside the front door, you will find a gazebo with a comfortable outdoor dining set with seating for everyone! BBQ to your hearts content while you gaze upon Leggat Lake.
With its shallow, walk-in waterfront, this property is especially suitable for families with children, non-swimmers, and pets. A waterfront dock adds to the charm, providing a perfect spot for relaxation by the water's edge.
Additionally, this pet-friendly accommodation welcomes one dog, allowing guests to bring along their furry companions to enjoy the traditional cottage vacation experience.

Things you need to know:

Up to 1 large dog is welcome. Please no cats or giant dog breeds.
Please note that, according to the municipality’s bylaws, all dogs must be leashed or tethered on the property when outside. Dogs are not permitted to roam leash-free.
Linens and towels are not provided
Rentals include a cleaning service; however, the cottage must be left in a tidy condition
The portable air conditioner needs to be drained often
Garbage and recycling removal is required prior to departure.
Guests are welcome to bring watercraft; however motorized boats are not permitted.



Waterfront The property is fairly flat from the cottage to the waterfront. Entrance to the lake is easy with gradual sand/silt bottom. Please note, some weed growth so water shoes are recommended.



Close-By Attractions

Sharbot Lake Provincial Park. This park is located on two beautiful, clear lakes that offer great swimming, canoeing, boating and fishing with picturesque nature trails and a great variety of scenery. (25 mins)
Sharbot Lake Train Playground. The Sharbot Lake Train Playground is a delightful railway heritage park, where a red caboose stands proudly next to a children’s playground, serving as a beacon of old Canadian Pacific engineering. The park also features Canadian Pacific Railway machinery and static displays of rail working tools. (20 mins)
Perth. This very picturesque, historic town is definitely worth a day visit. There's great shopping, a number of restaurants, and other attractions such as the Perth Museum, the International Fountains, and the Last Duel Park, which includes walking trails and an historic cemetery. (50 mins)
Westport. Picturesque village with good shopping and a nice waterfront. The downtown core has been preserved as it was in the 19th century, making Westport a beautiful heritage destination for thousands of visitors and cottagers every year. (40 mins)
Thrill Seeker ATV Tours. Book an introductory, half day, full day, or even an overnight tour that includes dark sky viewing. All equipment is provided, and videos of your adventure are available. Suitable for riders of all skill levels. (30 mins.)
K & P Rail Rail. The cottage is close to K & P Rail Trail, great for biking and ATVing. (15 mins.)
