We never saw the property because the host canceled late the night before our arrival day because he had other guests. VRBO did promptly refund our money which we appreciated, but did not help us find a comparable rental, on a 3 day holiday weekend, hours before check-in time, as per their "Book with Confidence" policy. We are disappointed in VRBO and the host of this property.

Anniversary Getaway

Great place to stay for a weekend getaway for our anniversary! Everything was perfect! Walk down to the water to fish! Beautiful views of the river! Would love to return and stay longer!

Awesome weekend!

Second time to stay and enjoyed as much as the first time! Youngest and oldest grandkids, nephews and son caught their first trout! Beautiful home. Great owner who communicates well.

Not well kept

The trip started with me asking if it would be possible to check in a little earlier than the 4 pm time posted. It gets dark at 5. I’m sent back a note about sending me the rate increase for early check in. It’s not cheap for a night. The next communication was about firewood. I asked if it was provided or did I need to bring some, no reply. Of course we get there and there is none. I text asking for some and got the reply we don’t supply it you’re welcome to go buy some. It advertises fire pit and fireplace. To not supply some at the rates charged is just not right. Two condition issues, the toilet seat was so loose, I almost slid off, and the steps to the River and decking are rotting and repairs are neglected. I don’t see myself paying that much again for this property.

Nice place

Great place to enjoy piece and tranquility, cabin was nice and had all the Amenities you would need. Beads were nice and comfortable along with all the nice furniture and decorations. Caught lots of fish and had a great time with friends and family. The outside stairs and dock had a few places that could use new deck boards but didn’t keep us from haveing a great time. The left bedroom needs a new ceiling fan but there was a stand up fan in the closet so that was nice to have another option. The WiFi is in serious need of help. The internet is super fast but the WiFi would not connect inside the house to any of our phones, the funny thing is it would connect to all of our phones if you went outside. Strange, can’t explain it, router may need replaced.

Home Town Visit for Family Reunion

The property is as advertised, clean, quiet, comfortable, a few steps to fishing dock but not too many. Did NOT have any issues with plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, etc. all performed as one would expect. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware, pots, pans, etc and all were clean. There are not enough words to say how awesome this place is! We wanted to get away for the weekend to fish but didn't want to drive far. Pangburn was close to us (hour drive). This home is cozy and comfy. The kitchen is very very well stocked. The beds are so super comfy as were the pillows! Best night's sleep we have ever had at a VRBO. Bath towels thick and soft. Views of the river beautiful! The river was flowing most of the time but still managed to catch two nice size trout. It was just nice to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of the river. Both nights that we were there we watched two big owls fly from the tree out front to the ground and back, and listened to the noises that they were making, it was so cool to experience this. At the dock while fishing we were entertained by two muskrats chasing each other. Check in process super easy. Josh quickly answered any and all questions. We are in love with this place and will be back!

The “Boys” Trip

The cabin
 Home away from home, cozy, comfortable with a relaxed safe feeling
 The property
 spacious, inviting with adventure waiting for you at the river, on the dock. My son in law and grandson loved this property and cabin so much we are looking into our own river front property. Josh and his family have made this a one of a kind vacation home and I want to sincerely thank the Steen family for sharing their home with us
 This visit was with the son in law and grandson for fishing, kayaking and trail riding on the side by side but I look forward to returning with other family members as soon as time allows for more relaxing and adventures

Quality retreat

very nice home, quality details thru-out and simple small touches that made the stay very comfortable. Has a very well stocked kitchen. Would have liked access to firewood, like in their pictures; but easily remedied. Overall, very enjoyable stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Wonderful Thanksgiving

We had a great stay. We enjoyed the location and the accommodations were perfect and cozy. We had everything we needed and then some. We caught enough fish for dinner and enjoyed games, movies, and easy going relaxation. Can’t wait to stay again!

Better than home!

We always love staying at Nonni’s River Retreat. It’s just that, a retreat. The house is fully stocked with every comfort you can imagine. The backyard is amazing! We always catch Trout which makes for a great time. This was our third time to stay at Nonni’s, but not out last!

Still waiting for a refund for a night cancelled by owner

Booked this trip in advance and had hoped to bring our pet since it said contact about pets. Messaged the owner and it took some time for his reply that they had some damage from a previous pet and were no longer allowing pets. I can respect that and was looking forward to the trip with my family. Three days before our arrival date the owner calls to say there was damage from the previous renter and we couldn’t check in until the next day. He said he would refund the day. So we paid for a hotel an hour away as that was the closest available at that point and we already had booked a fishing guide and our family was traveling 7 hours to get there from different states. The owner still hasn’t refunded me and when I call VRBO they say he hasn’t noted a refund is due. He said he would make this right, but over 3 months later and no refund. We had a nice time at the house. Did not notice any recent work to the house that would cause a delay in our arrival. Had trouble getting in as the access code wasn’t provided in the app. The alarm started beeping the next morning and the owner was contacted. There were a few boards on the stairs to the dock and at the dock that were needing replaced. Also the main bathroom sink and shower drains were very slow. Otherwise had a good time. Just sad to say the owner hasn’t made this right.

Paradise in Pangburn

We had a great time here! We are repeat visitors to Nonnie's River Retreat, and are already looking forward to our next visit. The house is super clean and comfortable, and the fishing is great. Can't beat Nonnie's for a fun getaway trip!

I love the cabin but I don't like that there is a security camera that is monitoring you on your stay. It made me and the other guest a little uncomfortable.

Cabin on the river

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. This cabin is equipped with just about everything you could need and In spite of the heat, it was wonderful to sit on the patio overlooking the river. Very peaceful. We certainly hope to go back again.
