LOCATION- Clara Cottage is in the Heart of East Austin

NEWLY Built in 2016 and designed by the owner for short term rentals. You will be invited to a fully fenced in property with one car garage that greets you with all of the modern amenities you would want in your home away from home. When you walk through the door you will be greeted with a bright living room and fully equipped kitchen. Go out the backdoor to your completely private backyard sanctuary with two rocking chairs, full patio set, an electric grill for a fun BBQ, and outdoor games. Upstairs you have TWO bedrooms (one with a comfy Queen Bed with 12" Hybrid Mattress and the other acts as an office or another sleeping room with Murphy Bed that has a comfy 10-in. Gel and Aloe Vera Hybrid Full Mattress-NO SOFA BED!). Don't forget about your upstairs balcony with two Adirondack chairs to enjoy a glass of wine or watch people go to our next door neighbor restaurants/bars like La BBQ, Juniper, Love Birds, and Wow Poke Food Truck!

Great Spot !

We took our 2 young kids and they had a blast ! The house is about a 15 min walk to restaurants and breweries. It’s a quick drive to congress and other great spots. The house was clean and ready with snacks and drinks. We highly recommend to stay here !

Cozy cottage in Austin

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Stacy's home/cottage. The property is extremely well kept, very clean, nice appliances, and many personal touches. The private patio was also very pleasant. We were close to a couple of restaurants and great bbq. Stacy was a great host and very responsive before and during our stay. We would highly recommend her and this property. We would stay again if in the area.

So Well-Appointed!

What a lovely home! Probably the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in! Stacy has thought of every detail to make it feel comfortable and like home. Convenient location and, just a short drive to downtown and So Congress. Some restaurants and beer gardens were walking distance.

We went for a concert. We ubered to and from the vrb. Wonderful food truck and bbq place right next to the vrb&b. 14$ Uber to moody center. City noises at night. Beautiful home.

My wife and I stayed in Stacy’s place and couldn’t have been more comfortable. Upon entering, we noticed a hand written personalized note with a complimentary bottle of wine for us. The comfort and accommodations were convenient and never ending. All the way up the the built in Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom upstairs đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ The neighborhood was quiet which made hanging out in the backyard very peaceful at night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone.

Great house!

Everything was wonderful about this house. Very clean and decorated so cute! Perfect for my husband and me. It was our anniversary and Stacy had fresh flowers and wine for us. It was so thoughtful! Any time we had a question she was quick to respond. The neighborhood is eclectic and diverse. Great Mexican restaurant up the street within walking distance. Very close to all the places we were wanting to visit.

Definitely returning !

This property was clean, neat and such a good fit for a small group. The decorations were so cute. Everything was easily accessible as noted. The host went above and beyond. She sent very detailed messages, left a bottle of wine for my birthday and many other goodies. Sixth street was close. Many other good places were accessible. Everything was so nice. I’m definitely returning.

Best Austin Spot!

Stacy’s place was exactly as pictured - clean, adorable, and had everything you could possibly need. She was extremely communicative and available if we needed anything. I had forgotten to pack lotion and almost walked to target but checked under the bathroom sink just in case, and sure enough, Stacy had EVERYTHING there for her guests. If only every VRBO host was this thoughtful! It was an absolute pleasure staying at Stacy’s place. If we come back to Austin we will be sure to check if her place is available before going anywhere else.

perfect in every way

Like other reviewers, we can't give Stacy enough compliments. She is supremely thoughtful, tremendously detailed, attentive, gracious, creative, helpful and positive. The property is fantastic. It has a very functional and comfortable floor plan. The furniture layout is sensible, and the decor is fun and attractive. Everything just works. Stacy has obviously thought deeply about her guests' entertainment, comfort and pleasure. It's a new house, and the craftsmanship is evident everywhere. The location is absolutely unbeatable. You're able to walk to some of Austin's best and coolest restaurants and bars, or stroll along the iconic lake a block away. We were there to see our new granddaughter, and when health complications arose toward the end of our stay, Stacy graciously allowed us to book an extra day. Life isn't always easy, but Carla's Cottage was perfect for our Christmas week. We will, of course, be back.

Super clean and well-stocked with amenities

Beautiful small house with nice private outdoor space. Very comfortable bed and sparkling clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and generous amenities, and off-street parking. Only drawback was the noise (traffic, the procession to la Barbecue, and horrible loud amplified live music on Saturday which went from 3 p.m. to past midnight), which was to be expected given the location.

Cute cottage, fun location

Stacy was an excellent host and she appointed her cottage with every amenity imaginable. The location was close to downtown and two blocks away from a 10-mile trail that we ran or walked on everyday. We had a great time.

Perfect sanctuary in Austin

7. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS PERMITTED

8. NO SHOES WORN INSIDE HOME (shoe covers will be provided if you prefer to not wear your socks or please bring your own house slippers!)

9. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IS 4 RENTERS MAX. TWO ADULTS IS PREFERRED.

10. NO PETS ALLOWED AT ANYTIME

13. Housekeeping: You will required to pay for our cleaners to clean the house once during a 30 day period if longer then 31 days. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit.

The Clara Cottage is a fun and modern home that's so homey that you won't want to leave. You will have all of the modern amenities to make feel like you are right at home! I offer fun indoor and outdoor games for those nights where you want to stay in with your guests. The wood furniture was custom built from the wood floors of the circa 1935 home that was torn down to build my dream vacation home.

You are in the Heart of East Austin. So you don't need to rent a car. Only 5 miles from the Airport. 1.5 Miles to Downtown Austin. And with in walking distance or quick Uber ride to hundreds of restaurants/bars/breweries. You are also only 2 blocks away from Lady Bird Lake which has SUP and Kayak rentals as well as the peaceful well shaded Bike and Hike Trail which is a 10 mile loop. Also you are right across the street from one of the most popular BBQ joints in Austin: La BBQ so you can watch the line to get in to know jump into place so you won't wait too long for some of the BEST Austin BBQ.
