Fantastic stay, fantastic host!

We had an amazing stay at Steve’s retreat. The site was spacious and allowed us to have 36 people there including children without feeling crazy. It was great to have pool access after the mountains and Steve was fantastic about putting in safety requests. It is easy to say working with Steve and his team was seamless. They really made our stay so much better and probably the best host I’ve worked with. Looking forward to another stay!

Wonderful weekend

We had a wonderful weekend with friends and family. The house is full of good surprises. Everything is great and we would love to come back again.

Large group NYE friends trip retreat

Our group of about 27 people had an absolute blast. There was so much to do, inside & out, that we could have spent a week at Copperhood and not gotten bored. The kitchen supported our needs beautifully, great rooms were cozy, spa perks were all fully operational…the trip was fantastic in every way. Highly, highly recommend!

Corporate Retreat

Stayed here with my 15-person corporate retreat and everything went very smoothly. The location is beautiful, the amenities are nice, and the owner Steve has thought through many important details. Each bedroom has its own keys. Steve communicates well. The view of the mountain out of the large windows is stunning. 5/5 stars for sure!

Best Family Birthday

I had 30 people fly in from around the country to celebrate my mom's birthday. This was the perfect place to get out of the city, have everyone stay together, have events/plans for everyday. The host provided an incredible document with the best catering in the area, place to go, etc. He was also always available for a quick answer to a question. Perfect spot for a family reunion, so happy we decided to come here!

This place was absolutely perfect for our group of 28 people. We really appreciated the layout of the building -- all the communal spaces are on one side and the rooms on the other, which meant they were quiet and easy for folks to sleep while others were awake. The kitchen was a dream! It was so easy to clean and prep meals for our group and we loved the walk-in refrigeration, which mean there was so much storage space for drinks and we didn't have coolers and food in weird places. The ice machine was useful for putting drinks and cold items out. The kitchen also well stocked with things: paper toils, foil, spices. Steve was so communicative and flexible. The maintenance person came to check the pool levels daily and spent some time talking with us. We explored the island, which was in great shape too -- walking paths were clear, even after a bad wind storm. And the large pool was the best we've ever experienced. I loved this place and hope we get to come back! I cannot say enough positive things about this experience.

Steve was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire booking. Special attention was given to the fact that a micro wedding took place on this trip. Whenever we had questions, he was very responsive and helpful. The property is beautiful. Having it for a whole week was a unique luxury. From the tennis courts, walking trails, firepit, and river to the comfortable rooms, ensuite bathrooms, heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub, we had no reason to ever leave. A few excursions did take place: Runs to the local bakeries, restaurants, farmstands, and waterfall hiking. All fabulous. While there were a few instances of heating issues with the spa facilities, Steve and his crew were quick in trying to remedy the issues. The comfortable lounge equipment and Adirondack chairs welcomed you everyday for morning coffee and sunbathing. The commercial kitchen was much appreciated, well appointed, and used for two big meals. The actual, historic copperhood fireplace in the dining room was stunning and enjoyed on several occasions. Having a few rooms that were 100% pet friendly cannot be overlooked. Neither can the onsite and provided firewood. Further, the re-purposing of the goat enclosure across Esopus Creek as a dog fenced-in-area was a wonderful idea. The gate and some fence line still need some reinforcing and will need to be watched for ground wasps, but it was still an awesome feature to have on the property. This property is a gem in the Catskills.

Beautiful Catskills Mountsin Resort!!

25 of my close friends and family stayed here for a bachelor party. The property was amazing, clean and had beautiful views everywhere. The pool/spa was a favorite amongst the group and we spent all night on the wrap around patio. There were trails, a river, tennis court and even alpacas. Stephen was an amazing host who was extremely accommodating, accessible and just a genuinely good person. We can’t wait to come back again!

Great for family reunion

We had such an enjoyable stay at the Copperhood Resort. Our host Steve was welcoming and accessible from the minute we arrived. With so many rooms, we were able to have our own individual family space. The common areas were spacious and open for our large (24) group...the kids (and adults!) enjoyed the pool, feeding the alpacas and chickens, playing tennis, doing morning yoga, putting puzzles together, and dining. The kitchen was well stocked and had ample space and dishes. We had the run of the place and felt right at home. Steve and his family were gracious and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate booking again!

Great getaway!

The Copperhood was the perfect spot for a getaway weekend with friends. It was wonderful to each have our own (huge) rooms and bathrooms, large common and dining areas, commercial kitchen that made catering a breeze, yoga studio, indoor pool and outdoor activities. Steve (property owner) was very helpful and immediately responsive to all of our needs. Everything was very clean and we felt very safe in every way. Highly recommend for your next group getaway.
