This conveniently located four bedroom, two bath, Victorian Home offers a historic feel and an ample amount of space for your entire party. Only located three blocks from Forsyth Park, walking distance to downtown attractions, and easy access to I-16. Parade routes and race routes are as close as 1-4 blocks depending on the event. This home has been divided up into two apartments, perfect for those with family members that have difficulty with stairs.

Each floor features a spacious living room, a fully-stocked kitchen, dedicated dining space, two bedrooms, and one full bath. Downstairs offers a poker table, ideal for a game night in with friends or family and is open to the kitchen, perfect for entertaining! High ceilings, hardwood floors and original fireplaces adorn the space with all the character and charm you'd expect to see in a Victorian mansion. Yet modern amenities abound with everything from central heat and air condition, tv and wifi so you can stay up to date on all your favorite streaming shows.

The property is only three blocks from Forsyth Park which is one of Savannah's largest and most active. Forsyth is over 30 acres of green space, walking paths and the beautiful moss draped live oak trees Savannah is known for. Around the park you'll find boutiques, coffee shops and even an organic grocery. If you happen to be visiting on the weekend, Forsyth hosts the local farmer's market every Saturday morning and sometimes there's even a concert in the bandshell.

What is parking like for this home?
The Montgomery House has plenty of free street parking and the city offers a free shuttle from Forsyth to downtown Savannah every 10 minutes. It's easy to leave your car at the house and explore all that Savannah has to offer!

The house was lovely and the kitchen was well-equipped. However the neighborhood was not what we expected. It was a very sketchy area and our concerns were validated on our first night there. Two young men pounded on our door and would not leave. They demanded the use of my cell phone and even asked me to drive them home. They would not leave the front porch until my son arrived and even then they were reluctant to go. It shook us up and has colored our memories of our Christmas in Savannah.

Perfect getaway for two families with kids

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for two families with multiple little ones. It was very clean, nicely decorated and well laid out for two families. Just a few blocks from Forsyth Park made it the perfect rental for the RockNRoll Marathon.

Wedding Weekend

8 of us stayed here for a wedding weekend... For the price, it was great! The neighborhood is on the outskirts of what I would consider safe. The house itself was described well, and we were happy with our stay. We did have 5 girls, so getting ready for the wedding events was challenging with the small bathroom, but we made it work!

The house was fine. But don’t be tricked into thinking you can walk to the river district. It’s way too far and in a rough area.

Great for Groups!

We enjoyed our stay at the Montgomery House and would definitely return. We rented out both sides of the unit so it was very convenient with our friend group because we could have plenty of together time but some separation as well. Property manager was very attentive and when we did need a few things fixed they came over within a few hours. House is right on the outskirts of town so it’s easily walkable to Forsyth Park and other attractions. We felt safe while there and appreciated that the kitchens are reasonably stocked so we could cook our own breakfasts easily. Only downside to this location is that on Sunday there is a church just around the corner that BLASTS their morning sermon.

Good Location and Nice Space

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Rental was just a described. Lots of space and close to everything. There was a problem with the shower on the lower level. It was not draining properly and lead to a horrible shower experience. I have a hard time believing that the cleaning crew didn't experience the shower not draining properly when they cleaned the house. This should have been resolved before we got in the house. I did call the management office and it was fixed the day before we left. We were there from Thursday - Monday. This was the only downside to our stay.

Great girls trip in Savannah

This property was great! It's actually two apartments (which wasn't clear to me until right before the trip) with one apartment upstairs and one apartment downstairs. Pros: - Very close to Forsyth Park - Beautiful home - Comfortable beds - Plenty of space for the 8 of us - The rental company, Lucky Savannah, was incredible. Extremely communicative and helpful Cons: - We were walking home one evening and someone driving shouted out the car window to warn us we weren't in a very safe area; just want to flag that the home itself is wonderful, and there's no reason not to book, just be careful / aware in the evenings Enjoy your stay!

We didn’t like the neighborhood hood we’re were in with the garage across the street, walking us up

Our lock codes did not work. Had to call additional times to let us get in. There was no hot water in the downstairs bath. We just went upstairs to shower. I would like to know what the paint color in the upstairs bath. Thank
