Chalet idyllique sur la côte atlantique au sud-ouest de l'Irlande

De la maison donne directement sur l'océan Atlantique. La baie de Tragumna est de parler en face de vous. La maison dispose d'environ 80 mètres carrés, il est divisé en un grand salon / salle à manger avec cheminée ouverte comme le centre et la cuisine intégrée au rez-de-chaussée, cette chambre est ouverte sur le toit et forme un côté de la maison. L'autre moitié se compose d'une chambre et une salle de bains au rez de chaussée et à l'étage, auquel on accède par un escalier avec une petite galerie de la salle de séjour. Le chalet est entièrement meublé, le linge de lit, serviettes et torchons sont fournis. La cuisine est bien équipée, dans le salon, il y a un lecteur de CD, de la télévision par satellite et système DVD, la maison dispose du chauffage central et sur le côté de l'océan est une grande terrasse avec accès à un très grand terrain gazonné. À propos de la propriété mène à une petite plage de galets de la baie; Une plage de sable est à 200 mètres. Près de la maison il ya un pub irlandais traditionnel avec de la musique en direct le week-end. Dans le quartier animé Skibbereen (6km) vous pouvez acheter tout ce qui rend la vie agréable. La côte entre Tragumna et Castletownshend est spectaculaire avec toujours changeant vue z. B. sur le célèbre phare du Fastnet

Idyllic location, quiet but accessible

A stay next to the Atlantic but so peaceful. Great view from rear porch, safe garden, access to Skibbereen easy (car essential!).Cottage shows its age, needs more towels and better bedding, but comfortable and all needs catered for. Breda helps with any needs.

Lovely cottage - quite remote

This is a lovely cottage and the hosts are very responsive and helpful. It is probably best suited for a warmer season fishing trip than a cold weather stay on the coast.The view from the cottage is gorgeous and the back yard is wonderful.

Lovely little cottage by the sea

We all enjoyed our stay very much! Lovely walks down to the ocean, watching the sunsets and beers at the pub. I don’t recall the listing saying there was no wifi which may be important to some. The town of Skibbereen itself was about 10 mins away and really charming. Breda was super helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great week!

The cottage was very cosy and comfortable, and the property manager was very helpful in fulfilling our requests. the cottage is situated in a beautiful cove and the views are stunning. Recommended.

Very Enjoyable Stay with Magnificent views

The whole process was simple. House was really clean and tidy and comfortable. Ideal get away location. Lovely pub beside the property and an excellent beach with lifeguards within short walking distance. Hope to return when time allows.

Wonderful

We only have one word for it: wonderful. The house included everything we needed, the view from the terrace was stunning, and the location was good to start sightseeing from. The pub nearby provides great food and skibbereen, a short drive away, everything else you need.

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic location.

What a beautiful place to say. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and is equipped with everything you need. Breda was so welcoming and always on hand to help and answer any questions we had throughout our stay. Waking up in the morning to the view across the bay was a real treat every day. I cannot wait to go back! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage for a second time!

The cottage is lovely and very much as described, it it is actually bigger inside than it looks on the photos mainly I think due to the double height of the lounge but whatever it is a roomy enough place for a family. It was very clean. The main bed and sofas could be more comfortable and maybe those and linens are getting a little tired and yes it would be nice if there was a dishwasher and washer/dryer but the vibe here is rustic, relaxed, back in time and for that it is very well placed as is the location which is just outstanding. You are literally next to a very welcoming family friendly pub, and a three minute walk from a swimming beach with lifeguards etc. The host is excellent as is the house keeper who keeps the cottage in excellent order.

Beautiful cottage with amazing views - a gorgeous place to be!

The cottage was absolutely beautiful-we arrived at night in the dark so had to wait until the morning and it was so worth it. The view from the back of the house was spectacular and being able to sit out in the evening with the sun shining through the back door felt like heaven. Tragumna is a lovely place - the locals were very friendly and welcoming and very happy to chat! The owners were extremely helpful and quick to respond to any queries before we arrived and then the lovely Breda ensured we had everything we needed while we were there! A lovely trip and such a beautiful house! Thank you!

Sea view and storm-proof

A proper Atlantic gale about two days in. Wind whistling around the house, and rain lashing the windows. The good news: the roof stayed where it was supposed to, and none of the windows or doors blew in. The rest of the week was very pleasant. Not sunbathing weather exactly, but plenty of sun nonetheless. The house was as it appears, small but very comfortable, with a lovely sea view. Good wardrobe space in the two bedrooms (one upstairs, one down), and a small but well-equipped kitchen area in the living room. Lovely sea views, and this being west Cork, a long list of lovely places to visit. Lough Hyne for example, Ballydehob and Schull (a pint in Hackett’s), Mizen Head and Baltimore (ditto for Bushe’s), and more lovely walks than you will ever have time for. One negative (for me at least), no internet connection, which is a drag if you have to keep in touch with work (I know, but not everybody can totally switch off), or with family. Still, the local bar, the Skibbereen Eagle, is only a few paces away, and they’re connected, so all is not lost.

Cottage de rêve

Ce cottage authentique est magnifique dans un environnement exceptionnel. A cette période tout est calme et on y vit au rythme des marées. En option nous avons même pu voir une baleine(petit rorqual??) dans la baie devant la terrasse. La maison est un peu éloignée des principaux centres d’intérêt ( les 3 presqu’îles) mais ce n’est qu’un détail tant elle est agréable. 3 suggestions pour encore améliorer le séjour: un book traduit en anglais… nous sommes en Irlande; un microonde serait bien utile; la wifi serait un vrai plus à notre époque. Pour terminer un grand merci à Breda pour sa bienveillance et sa bonne humeur.
