There are 4 bedrooms. Wine in front of the wood-burning fireplace. Indoor treadmill and yoga Mat to sweat out toxins. Hot tub spa running year round connected to house and screened in. Watch movies 🎥 or football 🏈 with groups of people with big screen 📺 and couch that seats 10 Wrap-around covered decks and screened porches let you find a special place to catch sun, read a book. If you want to explore - go hiking, horseback riding, cycling, fishing, antiquing, bird watching at the nearby parks, or on the 5.01 acres.
Of course we have all the modern day luxuries for your use: central air conditioning and heat, cable, Amazon TV with Netflix and HBO, and WiFi. House also has surround sound for music. You will have access to the entire home and five acres with outdoor fire pit. Other things to note DINING / FOOD There is no food delivery on the mountain, but you do have several restaurants and markets that are fairly close to the cabin. Hours vary by season so please double-check to make sure they are open before heading over. Great location, but house is lacking

AMAZING outdoor space, but no furniture to enjoy any of the decks. The house is a stunner in a great location, but the furniture is chintzy, cheap, and dirty. The bedroom in the “guesthouse” was dank and had a weird odor. Beds were comfortable, towels were miniature and lacking quality. The owners could make this a gem with some furnishing/linen investments, especially with all the good options around Lost River.

Normally, if there were any issues or concerns a private message would be sent and the problem would be fixed. While I do appreciate the feedback that new luxury bedding is needed and I do plan on changing all bedding this fall, I don't believe this should result in a two star review. four years of five star reviews should speak for beautiful mountain house.

Lovely Home with Amazing Views

My friends and I spent NYE here and had a terrific time. The property has 4 bedrooms. The main bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom has amazing views of the surrounding mountains and two shower heads. Downstairs are two bedrooms that are back to back. One of the rooms has a queen and the other two full-size beds. These rooms share a jack and Jill bathroom. The last room is in a little house removed from the main house. We had a couple corgis that stayed with us, so this was helpful when they were feeling yappy. The fireplace in the living room was wonderful and they provide plenty of firewood. Things to note for future guests: They only provide 8 towels so I recommend bringing your own towel for the hot tub. The kitchen could use some more supplies. If you have something in particular you know you’ll need, it may be wise to bring it yourself. The coffee machine was temperamental but we figured it out. Bring extra toilet paper and paper towels just to be safe. Hot tub was in an enclosed space which was great in the winter time. The property is near the Big Schloss trail, which I highly recommend if you want to take advantage of the surrounding mountains. The previous tenants left a water issue in the downstairs and we had to call the property manager to let them know about it. She was on top of it and it didn’t interfere too much with our weekend. Lastly, thank you to the homeowners for a lovely weekend. We had a great time and really enjoyed our time in their lovely home.

Mountain retreat TREAT!

The house was GREAT! Very cool design/layout, amazing views from multiple decks/balconies and most rooms, nice separate cottage, awesome fire pit. Lost River/City are also cool with wide range of outdoor WV activities and a few nice stores/wine bars. My 3 buddies and I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this house.

The house itself was beautiful. The area was fun to explore. The owner was timely with communication. The furniture in the house was not quality. Three patio chairs in the screen porch were broken, at least one dining room chair was broken, and a bar stool was broken. The screen door to the screened porch was off the track just leaning against the door. There were only two chairs around the outdoor fire pit, both of which were broken. There was a camp chair left in the house, which had chocolate smashed in the seat. The hot tub controls were locked, so the temp couldn’t be changed from 104 and the jets wouldn’t work. The owner was unsure how to fix it. Thankfully my husband works on pools and figured out how to reset it, or it would have been unusable. The extra cottage, while cute, had black mold on the ceiling. The smell of sulfur from the shower in the cottage was overpowering. Not owners fault, but definitely not enjoyable. The grass and landscaping around the house was overgrown. For the price point, we were disappointed with what we got.
