2 bedroom 1.5 bath cottage on Wood Creek Lake. There are two other cottages nearby which may be used by small groups if there is availability. There is a walking trail down to the lake. The cottage sits on 10 acres of land which you can explore and there are trails nearby. Enjoy cooking in the complete kitchen or you are close enough to town or the country store to go pick up some food. There is trailer parking but it is not right next to the cottage, it is about 200 feet away. Winter guests should be aware that we are unable to remove snow from the walks and driveway so you stay at your own risk. Kentucky often has very mild winters so feel free to book your winter getaway with knowledge that if a snow storm is predicted for the area that you may cancel and receive a full refund if you cancel before your check-in date. If you must leave during your stay because of winter weather we will refund the daily rate for any days left in your stay but know that VRBO does not refund their fees when there is a partial refund. The property is also secured by motion activated camaras, one is located across the driveway attached to a tree capturing the front of the cottage and parking area. Another is located next to our third cottage attached to a tree and captures the rear of the cottage and driveway.

We hope that you come stay with us again. We started renting these cottages last July and August and as with most things, they are a work in progress. At the end of June we installed a light at the bottom of the trail near the lake which lights that area in case you might want to have a fire or a picnic down there after dark. I also worked on the trail today because with all the rain that we had it had partially washed out. If you or other guests who have stayed have ideas for additions that you would enjoy, please let me know.

Family getaway

This location was very easy to find. I was nervous after I booked because it said difficult to find. The person running this listing called me and reassured me it was not hard to find. Prior to arriving we were sent a keyless passcode to entire. Kids had a great time hanging out outside around the fire and down by the lake would 100% recommend

Restful

My husband and I are senior adults and we are avid VRBO renters. We have stayed in many places all over the USA. Once we were able to find this place, my husband and I enjoyed a restful stay in a clean place with comfortable beds. On this trip, we drove straight from northern Michigan and were extremely tired which may have led to our inability to locate the cabin. However, the owner did provide additional information. When we found the cabin, got its GPS coordinates, we were able to find a more accurate address and directions via Google maps. It was very secluded. We enjoyed our restful stay and will definitely return!

It was not a cottage. It was a trailer. Very close to two other trailers. No signage, drive was very hard to access. Dog barked all the time. Not what we expected. Will never stay there again, and would not recommend it to anyone.
