Tirant son nom du terme de l'exploitation miniÚre pour décrire une équipe de forage de roches de deux hommes, l'Doublejack Guesthouse est perché à flanc de coteau dans le coeur de la vieille Bisbee, juste au sud-est de Tucson, en Arizona. Cette maison d'hÎtes offre des vues panoramiques spectaculaires du centre historique de Bisbee et le Mexique.

Construit en 1895, avant mĂȘme l'Arizona est devenu un Ă©tat, entiĂšrement restaurĂ© et cette charmante maison de une chambre mineur est situĂ© le long d'un ancien chemin muletier tournĂ© escalier dessus du parking public de niveau de la rue - accessible via un escalier juste assez pour se sentir en bonne santĂ©! The Bisbee location was ideal for enjoying hikes and walks to dining options. We're relatively fit seniors so we didn't mind the steep inclines. We appreciated everything our hosts made available. Watching birds gather outside bedroom and living room windows was delightful.

Everything was wonderful! Communication with host was excellent and he welcomed us in person. Kitchen was well-stocked and we appreciated the eggs, milk, OJ bread and butter. The bed was really comfortable and the decor throughout the guesthouse was fabulous!

Bob was very welcoming and friendly. He met us at the bottom of the stairs and actually helped us carry our things up to the casita. Once inside, he showed us around and made sure we were comfortable. We discovered Bob had left a bag of fresh coffee beans, bread, eggs, milk and orange juice which made the perfect French toast for breakfast in the morning. Very happy with the casita and plan to stay again.

Beautiful little guest house. Very comfortable minus one star for the number of stairs to get to the house and for loud music until 12 midnight on Friday night.

Host was very nice and helpful with recommendations on places to eat and go. Extra touches that so added were the coffee and breakfast items! Nicely done!! We could relax and have breakfast with out going out. Nice place. Love the birds and feeders!!

Great location to explore Bisbee

We enjoyed this location and our stay very much. Property as described. I'd say you need to be pretty fit, which we are, to go up and down the stairs multiple times in the elevation. Great views from the patio. Great host!

Amazing Bisbee guest house

We had an amazing stay! The guest house is perfect in every way! The location is within walking distance to all the fun. The attention to detail in the guest house was incredible down to the smallest detail. We will absolutely stay here again such a pleasant experience! The indoor and outdoor areas are comfortable and relaxing.

Doublejack Guesthouse is an absolute GEM in Bisbee! Bob is very thorough and responsive, never getting annoyed with questions—in fact he loves sharing about the town he loves. We got many great suggestions. Not gonna lie, the 75 steps to get up there are no joke...but there are landings, so you just take your time and it's fine (after adjusting to the altitude). Bisbee is built in a narrow valley, so many of the homes (and the whole town!) has steps. The view, the space, the vibe are all well worth it! Lovely little deck that is shaded in the late afternoon. The place is very comfortable and has everything you could need. Next time, we'll visit in cooler weather so we can see more of Bisbee on foot—the cabin is ideally located for exploring, but the heat got the best of us (even though it was 10 degrees cooler than our home in Phoenix!). We had lots of sweet little birds thanks to the filled feeders and we enjoyed a family of coati that roamed through the property several times. Definitely book your stay at Doublejack—you'll be glad you did.

A View From the Top

My best friend and I had a magnificent stay at the Doublejack Guesthouse! Bob is a fabulous host and was so thorough and helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants and all things Bisbee. The home is beautifully decorated and every detail has been considered. The views were fantastic, and the thoughtful breakfast items made for an extra perk. We loved sitting on the deck in the mornings, enjoying our coffee and watching the hummingbirds. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for having us as your guests!

Perfect Bisbee property for a couple or solo

No surprise our two night stay was superb at Jackhammer Guesthouse. Robert’s attention to detail is evident in all facets of the property, the location and outdoor space are reflective of Bisbee’s heritage and the space is an inviting respite from an active day.

Beautifully restored cottage with all modern conveniences. Perfect setting for nature enthusiasts. Really comfortable mattress, unique and lovely interior decorating, the best freshly ground coffee beans, and welcoming hosts who are highly knowledgeable about So. Arizona.

STAIRWAY to Heaven

This is a great little place to stay. Parking can be an issue. DO NOT drive a Dully Truck. The streets are basically an alley-way. Also, there are 75 steps from the street to the VRBO. If you can get up the stairs, enjoy your relaxing patio and great views. LOVE IT.

A beautiful place and wonderful owners to deal with. If you are not in shape and want to get a good workout, it's a 75 step juant up stairs to the guest house, but definitely worth it!! Would stay there again!

Tucson Magazine named Bisbee, Arizona “Best Place to Get out of Town” for 2009, but we discovered this charming historical mining town on a road trip years ago. It was late afternoon and the sun was just setting on the red-colored mountains that surround Bisbee when we drove into town for the very first time. It was like we were looking at a picture-perfect postcard! One year later we came back for a second visit and it was during this visit that we bought a 100-year-old boarding house (which we made into our home) and the 110-year-old miner's cottage (now the Doublejack Guesthouse) next door.
