SATURDAY-SATURDAY RENTAL ONLY DURING SUMMER MONTHS.

This comfortable home, located directly across from the beach access on the North End of Pawleys Island, offers beautiful views of both the ocean and the creek. With screened-in and covered porches, it is the perfect spot to enjoy hot summer days or cool fall evenings while soaking in the relaxing atmosphere that Pawleys Island is known for. Ideal for families, this spacious house invites guests to create lasting memories in a welcoming and peaceful setting.

The main floor features a full kitchen with an open floor plan that connects the dining and living areas, along with a master bedroom that includes a queen bed and an adjoining private bath. Upstairs, the second floor offers four additional bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a secondary den area equipped with a television.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at Altman house and once again, we thoroughly enjoyed it! The house is so well located...across from beach access. It is old fashioned in a good way. But all the important things work well- a good dishwasher and air conditioning that you aren't constantly adjusting. Lots of bedrooms to spread out and an open space to come together. Also, a great screened porch.

The location is great because there is a beach access directly across from it to a beautiful wide oceanfront. The house has plenty of bedrooms and living space to spread out. It was clean and well maintained..not fancy, but certainly nice enough. The kitchen was well equipped. A great thing about renting from Tidelife is that you get a bonus rental of vacation gear like bikes or beach chairs. We chose the bikes and had fun using them every day. Highly recommend Altman house!

Our Erskine Girls Week

We did have a couple of years off after Hugo when the house was being rebuilt. Since Tidelife has taken over, we have really enjoyed some perks like having sheets and towels provided . Everyone at Tidelife if friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We Love Altman House

This house has become special to me and my son and his family who come form Colorado for a week of family time. The house is always ready on time and sometimes before which is so helpful. Tidelife folks are friendly and are attentive to issues. We needed rubber mats for the showers and tubs and we got them promptly.

Love the Screened Porch

Bathrooms have been updated, but they are small. (More towel bars and some shelving would be helpful.) The king size mattress in back bedroom is comfortable. Replacing the kitchen countertops and mini blinds are highly recommended. We enjoyed cooking steaks on the grill. The beach access is at the end of a short gravel road across the street. Beach is lovely. No frills home in a great location.

Unhappy

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was not clean and I don’t believe that the cleaning crew was entirely responsible. My husband had to vacuum due to the fact that the rug under the table had food all over it and the house was covered in sand. The crew was there for an hour after our 3:00 pm check in time. Upstairs bathroom commode was cracked and repairman came on Saturday night and had to replace the entire commode. Dishwasher leaked all over the floor and was not repaired until Wednesday. Refrigerator ice maker would stop up and leak water on the floor. cable TV did not work properly and we discovered that hook up to cable was broken. We bought a broom and dust pan, used ice from store and cleaned out the vacuum cleaner that was completely full. Our kid work with the TV cable, but it needs to be replaced. Also, the legs on one of the rattan chairs was broken. For $5,000 we expected a little more. We always leave a house clean and this was very dispointing. We will not rent again.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was easily able to accommodate our family gathering of 3 generations. The kitchen was roomy & adequately stocked, & the large dining table just off the kitchen was able to accommodate all 10 of us for enjoyable family meals. Another large dining table near the front door allowed space for the annual jigsaw puzzle. There was plenty of room upstairs for all of the “kids” & grandkids, while we 2 grandparents had more privacy & quiet in the bedroom on the main floor. The screened-in porch at the front of the house allowed for peaceful moments of fresh air, birdsong, ocean views & the sounds of waves. Also, the walk from the house to the beach was a much loved straight shot (cross the street & head down a wide path straight to the walkway to the beach!). The only thing we would suggest would be to consider replacing the bed (a double) in the bedroom on the main floor with a queen size to provide a bit more elbow room for 2 adults (especially grandparents, who are down there to enjoy the peace & quiet that goes along with having the upstairs filled with more energetic grandchildren & their parents!). Overall, though, 2 thumbs up! We’ve already reserved a repeat week for next summer!

Great location

The Altman House was in the perfect spot for beach lovers and large groups. Plenty of space for multiple couples to eat together, play games, and relax. Will be rebooking!
