FOREST DUNES RESORT AMENITIES
The Forest Dunes Resort has so many options for the whole family or for a couple on a romantic vacation. As a guest at our suite you will be able to relax and enjoy your vacation fully with our array of water features and guest amenities.

*Each adult will be provided a wristband at the time of arrival. Wristbands are needed to access pools; each adult will need a wristband for pool deck entry. Wristbands are also needed to access the lobby from 10pm ‐ 7am and access the fourth-floor parking garage crosswalk and stairwell.

*There will be a $50 charge each for lost or damaged wristbands.

Great little condo

Great little condo. Kitchen wasn't SUPER well equipped, but we made it all work. GREAT location, right on the beach. Nice pool and amenities. Friendly staff.

Home ALMOST away from home...

Arrived on July 19th for a week. Nice quiet area/neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of where all the action is by the boardwalk and other resorts. Sadly, Forest Dunes/the property itself and other “amenities” is pretty dated...like 1970’s three's company dated... The unit I rented via VRBO looked as though it did in the pictures. However, if you’re a clean freak/adult onset ocd such as myself - this place may not be for you. The bedroom looked a little sketchy - (carpet needs a good cleaning or completely removed, bedskirt was dirty and the bed appeared to be odly lopsided. The bathroom(s) weren’t as clean (i.e. hair in the tub, sink and floors). The kitchen and living room area however is nice which ended up being my preferred “living quarters”. The balcony didn't have too much of an ocean view but just enough to fire up the laptop do some work & drink tea. Needless to say, you get what you pay for so I guess this place served its purpose for a solo traveler. Lastly, the front desk staff were pleasant upon check-in (albeit slow) and the other staff did their best to keep the grounds/lobby area and elevators "clean". I Plan to come back to Myrtle Beach with the entire family but will be staying someplace more modern. I've learned that condo/apartment rentals on vaca just isn't for me.

Needs HELP!

Room was not very clean, no towels in bath or kitchen not even a single paper towel in the room, NOT very welcoming. 15+ yrs of using HomeAway/VRBO this would be my first time NOT RECOMMENDING a stay, Location was great but the room, mostly cleanliness issue was not a good start, again NOT welcoming. Hotel is run down, the rooms are run down, needs updating.

First time visitors~

It was our first time staying at Forest Dunes, and we adored it. We will definitely be looking into staying again! The neighbors were a bit loud (screaming obscenities at children very late/very early), but that's no fault on the property- most places are going to have thin walls to contend with. Check out confused us a bit- we were given a time to check out by, but there were no staff members there? Luckily we had been told that to check in late we could contact somewhere else, so we did that and were given check out instructions. The property was gorgeous and easy to find, the stretch of beach was gorgeous, and the pricing was lovely! We will 100% be looking to stay here again in the future! Have already recommended it to friends and family and will continue to do so!

Pictures can be deceiving

Photos if this property are obviously old. While the layout is the same the condition of the unit is not good. Dirty floors, furniture, rugs, etc. Pull out sofa bed is not usable. The mattress is thin and dirty with stains and has a backward lean to it. I had to clean the entire place myself in order to stay as I could not find alternative accommodations. Walls need repair and fresh paint. Carpet needs replacing. Window blinds don’t open or close with wand. Curtain rod rigged to stay on the wall and poorly done for that matter. The kitchen was the only decent part of the unit. Bathroom sinks are very low and do not seems to be standard height. Complained to the property management office only to be told they cannot help. It was up to the unit ‘host’ / owner and VRBO. VRBO customer service was no help and said it was up to the unit host. After this experience and getting no help from VRBO I will never use them again and would never recommend a friend use VRBO. Their customer service is awful. Seems they don’t want to help customers and say it’s the owners decision/responsibility. It’s a shame VRBO doesn’t value customers. I opened a claim and asked to speak with a manager to be told someone would call. It’s been a week. No call.

I was chased by a security guard with a flash light when I came back to hotel after leaving and he yelled at me WHERE IS YOUR PARKING PASS? When it was clearly hanging in window. Was kinda threatening. Other than that great stay

Good Price & Location

This ocean view condo in Forest Dunes Resort was priced approximately. The condo was clean with updated kitchen amenities. The Forest Dunes staff was helpful and nice. I would stay here again.
