Little house in the woods but only 5 minutes from town!

This beautiful, newly renovated home was the home my husband grew up in. We put a lot of work into fixing it up so we could share it with others. It is out in the country down a dead end road, but still only a few miles from the town of Ladysmith. The inside of the home is clean and almost all brand new. It is about a mile from a little county park on the Dairyland Reservoir, only a few miles from the local golf course, and just down the road from hopping on the snowmobile trail in the winter. There is a boat landing at the park for summer and access to ice fishing in the winter. This home does now share a driveway with another property. We look forward to hosting you!

It is a cute little house with three bedrooms and one bathroom. The main bedroom and bathroom are both on the lower level with two more bedrooms upstairs. There is a basement, but it is unfinished, so we would prefer guests spend their time on the main two levels. There is a fire pit out back that you are welcome to use. We work hard to keep the property clean for you.

*NEW* There is now a Ring doorbell camera at the front door, facing the driveway, for your safety and ours.

We enjoyed the seclusion in the woods and the house was very nice.

We were there for a family reunion so a lot of running around and only at the cabin in evening but great place to relax. Definitely would recommend.

Family get together

We were a small group going to a larger family reunion. The location was fantastic as we were 5 minutes away from the park where the reunion was being held. Didn’t need lake front, just a comfy place to sleep and kick back after fun filled days! Great supper club down the road for a Friday fish fry!

Perfect get away lodging

Loved this location, cleanliness, and ease of connecting with the owners. Somehow we seem to miss out on peak colors, but still had great fun. I definitely think that if we come up again next year we will hopefully stay here again!

Peaceful cabin in the woods!

Mandi’s up north cabin is a great place for a quite getaway but still plenty to do in the area. The cabin is very clean, updated and very roomy. We had a great New Year’s Eve bonfire. Thanks so much!!!

The home is clean and set back in the woods making it private. It was a nice quiet location.The only drawback was the comfort level of the bed and the living room furniture. Both need significant updating. A nice pillow top mattress and sectional would be wonderful in order to settle in and relax in the evening. My husband and I purchased a blow up mattress after the second evening. We were able to set up "camp" in the living room and get much better sleep the remainder of our stay.

We have been running our little rental for over 6 years now, and I must say that this is the first time anyone has complained about the comfort of the furniture. We have a lot of repeat guests that have never had any issues with it. We did have a few people say the downstairs bed was too firm a while back so we added a memory foam top that improved that. My father in law stays at least once a month and says the furniture is great. We have had people stay for an entire month and never had any issue with the furniture. Furniture comfort is mostly a personal preference, so what one person may not find comfortable, the next person may love.

All 80s class reunion

Very nice stay at this quiet cabin. Only disappointment was no central or ductless air-conditioning. The room ac was noisy so had to shut off to sleep.

This cabin is a gem. Communication with Amanda seamless. She was very quick to answer questions as we planned our stay.The cabin itself was spotless and exactly as described. Although the cabin felt remote at first we quickly realized we were very close to Ladysmith. There are security cameras so we never felt unsafe. We were here for a wedding so we didnt have a chance to enjoy the surroundings as much as we would have liked but every window afforded us beautiful views of of the woods around us. Although we were very busy throughout our stay this "Cabin in the Woods" offered us a great place to relax and refresh. We would highly recommend a stay in this cabin if you are looking for a place near Ladysmith. It's only a 10 minute drive from downtown. Thanks Amanda

Older but endearing

Quiet house, spacious and thoughtful amenities. Having extra blankets and pillows available as well as high quality sheets made our stay very comfortable. The TV and wifi very dependable. The home is older and has some very cool antique furniture. I took pictures of several pieces because they were so lovely. The property feels remote but it really isn't. But it is surrounded by trees and birds galore! My husband even spotted a deer one morning! Recommend for a quiet retreat!

Great place for the area

The property was very nice and clean! Loved being in a private area. We traveled from Pa for a wedding and we were constantly in and out, coming back to this house was so nice and welcoming. It was great place for the kids to play in and outside and not have to worry about a busy street! We would definitely go back again!

Just what we needed!

Great Ip North Cottage

Great property and cottage up North. Close to the Flambeau and Ladysmith. Clean and comfortable. Great WiFi too. Kitchen was a little sparse on some dishes/cookware but nothing too unexpected or missed. Recommend this place. Owners were easy to work with.

This is the home that my husband grew up in and it is near our home, so it works out really well.
