Great place.

We got this house and the house next door. This was a great house and I would definitely stay here again. The neighborhood was great and it was so nice to be able to use the pool and clubhouse. It was close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg along with easy access to the Smoky Mountains. The hosts were very responsive to any questions.

This was our second time staying here. Were very satisfied both times. The Gasts are super nice and very accommodating. One plus about the house is the fact it is directly across the street from the pool. My wife likes the way Mrs. Gast decorates the inside according to the season. Would definitely recommend this location.

Hi! We are Art and Sylvia Gast. We recently retired and fell in love with east Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Sevierville, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. After living in Georgia for 33 years, we sold our 1893 Victorian home in Royston, Georgia that we lived in for 20 years after our four children grew up, got married and graduated from college. After looking for a year, we found our beautiful lakeside home, the Sanctuary, and closed on it end of November, 2020.

We have discovered a new passion in hiking! The thing we love most about hiking in the Smokies is the beauty of the four seasons. Not to mention the gorgeous scenery and the benefits of fresh air, sunshine and exercise!

We invite you to stay in our home and fall in love with the Mountains and Douglass Lake! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to meeting you in person!
