Maison familiale surplombant la rivière Serpis, 100% Nature

Maison autonome (Panneaux solaires et eau de pluie) située au coeur de la montagne de Villalonga et surplombant la rivière Serpis . Cet endroit idyllique, havre de nature et de tranquillité invite au repos et à la relaxation. Une terrasse ouverte surplombant la rivière, avec des vues impressionnantes sur la montagne permet de profiter de la brise lors des chaudes journées estivales.
Une grande piscine privée entre de vieux oliviers se situe à quelques mètres de la maison.
Nombreux chemins de randonnée de toutes les difficultés avec notamment un sentier qui traverse le terrain de la propriété (chemin de la cascade font de la mata). Le point culminant de la montagne se situe à 1014m.
Les plages sont situées à 40 min en voiture et la rivière Serpis à 10min (baignade à la rivière possible). La voie verte (ancienne voie de chemin de fer transformée en chemin touristique) qui longe la rivière Serpis passe en bas de la maison.
La maison se situe à 380m d'altitude et est la dernière maison du chemin Majones. Le premier village est Villalonga à 15min en voiture. Le restaurant Didley situé au bord de la rivière Serpis (concerts de musique en direct le dimanche) est à 10min de la maison.

Great holiday!

'What a great villa and such a great location. The view is spectacular. We liked our stay here, especially the swimming pool. Martha's suggestion to visit the river was a topper. The water was very refreshing....We liked the visit of the dogs especially from Lucky. He is our favorite. We want to thank you for your kind hospitality. We will for sure recommend this villa to our friends....and until next time. (Belgian Family with 2 kids aged 12 and 14)

12 wonderful days

We have had 12 wonderful days in Villa Majones - and will definetely try to come back another time. A fantastic spot and stunishing views from every square meter. We've also enjoyed the company of Rufus - the kids will miss him...a giant with a heart of gold. Also thanks to you two for helping and giving advice when needed - perfect hosts. The beach at Piles was just perfect and the walks by the River and tunnels were fun. One big surprise when we met the motorbikes in the big tunnel - all running for our lives as we thought it was a ghost train or something. Once again thanks for 12 lovely days.

Nous avons passé de très belles vacances, le paysage est magnifique c'est un coin du paradis😍 Maxime est super gentil et serviable, la présence de Fiona (la chienne) ainsi que le chat( Seltik) nous a enchantée, les enfants étaient ravis de prendre soins de Fiona et seltik La piscine et la terrasse nous ont permis de profiter pleinement du beau temps. 🤗

Des vacances dépaysantes pour déconnecter

Nous avons passé de très belles vacances dans un paysage magnifique. La piscine et la terrasse sont de véritables atouts nous ayant permis de profiter à 200% des extérieurs à tout heure, et ce malgré une chaleur écrasante. L'accès à la plage en 30mn et à la rivière en 10mn donnent des possibilités de changer d'environnement. Les enfants ont été ravis, et nous aussi. Du réseau uniquement au coin de la terrasse, on déconnecte! L'accueil de Martha et Richard est parfait, ils sont aux petits soins. Le seul bémol : le "rationnement" en eau pas clairement identifié dans l'annonce.

Un havre de paix dans un décor grandiose

Nous savions, par les mails échangés avant notre arrivée, que Martha et Richard avaient une grande qualité d'accueil...Mais en y ayant séjourné, nous pouvons assurer d'une qualité exceptionnelle ! De même que la villa, confortable, isolée, dans un décor grandiose nous incite à rester sur place, près de la piscine loin du bruit de la ville. Martha nous a aussi fait prendre conscience que l'eau est un bien rare à ne pas gaspiller ! Une excellente adresse que nous recommandons vivement

Ideal para desconectarse

Sitio ideal para desconectar y descansar, la ubicación es inmejorable y vistas espectaculares, la zona te abre un abanico de posibilidades que hacer, no nos aburrimos ningún día. La piscina un 10:). Max siempre estaba atento a todo. Repetiremos seguro.

A really special hideaway with beautiful mountain views.

Richard and Martha are lovely hosts. We spent most of our ten day stay on the terrace playing cards with our two sons or swimming in the pool. A trip down to the river is a must. The beach at Piles near Oliva is lovely and low key. If your looking for a chilled out holiday that feels like real Spain then villa Majones is a great choice.

Wonderful stay in a truly secluded location

We loved the week that we spent in Martha and Richard's villa with our two young boys. The villa has everything you need, and the terrace is truly stunning - such seclusion and beauty are very hard to find. The pool was brilliant, a great size and we spent much of our day in there. We found that we needed very little else to occupy our time, but did go to Kiko beach and for a swim in the river in the valley. Both were recommendations from Martha and Richard, who were very welcoming and helpful, yet unobtrusive hosts. The boys adored their two dogs Rufus and Lya, who were a delight.

Very relaxing holiday in villa with fantastic vieuw

Fantastic holiday in mountain villa. Spectacullar vieuw on the mountains. a good place to come to rest. The pool was fantastic. BBQ on the big terras with a lot of shade. Many things you can see in the area. Oliva, Valencia, Xabia, Cale Moraig, nice beaches, waterpark in Currela. We had a fantastic 11 days with our 3 teenagers. Martha and Richard the owners of the house live close by and are always friendly, gave tips to do and were helpfull when needed. and not to forget their sweet dog Rufus, who always accompenied us by villa and made us feel at home.

Stunning Location for a Summer Family holiday

This was the most scenic location we have ever been for our Summer holidays. The pictures really don't do it justice and if you are looking for relaxation, peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings then you wont find better than this. We found plenty of things to do in the area with a multitude of hiking trails at our door step and the beaches in Gandia are not too far of a drive away. A 15-20 min hike down the mountain brings you to the Serpis river where we spent many hours exploring along the disused railway, going through tunnels, swimming in the river and climbing up to the old Moorish castle in L'Orxa. We also found the old rail a great place for going for a run as its fairly flat. For the more adventurous runner the roads back up to and around the villa are a great challenge. The villa is very comfortable but basic and 1 bathroom between 6 people was a challenge. Like many people before have said, the owners Martha and Richard were superb hosts and were available and willing to help anytime we needed them. Finally the villa comes with its own resident dog, Rufus. He is the one of the friendliest dog you could meet. The kids loved him. He was always there to greet us with his wagging tail when we drove in. He liked to accompany us down the trail and swim with the kids in the river. However, he never followed me when I went for a run - wise move on those mountain roads. We plan to return.

An unspoilt beautiful part of Spain with peace, tranquility and nature-perfect relaxation holiday

Coming from the West of Cumbria we live 25 minutes away Keswick in England and love the beauty of the mountains and we're thrilled to arrive at our Spanish equivalent of the Lake District up in the Mountains of Villalonga. It has everything you could possibly need of you choose total relaxation or want to travel and enjoy the excitement of Aqualandia brilliant water park, Munda Mar in Benidorm just an hours drive away. There is also the option of beautiful Gandia beach just 30 minutes drive or simply enjoy the brilliant privacy of your own pool all day in the beautiful surroundings. One thing I must say is what really made our holiday was the owners of our villa Martha and Richard who couldn't have been more welcoming from the moment we met them. They gave us just the right amount of attention and were so helpful and kind at every opportunity they really made our holiday! And their lovely dogs Rufus and Lya made our girls holiday too. Beautiful, tranquil holiday, what more could you want!

Petit coin de paradis perché dans la montagne

La villa Majones est un véritable petit coin de paradis. Pour les amoureux de la nature, il ne faut avoir aucune hésitation ! La montagne entoure la villa et sa piscine. Martha est au petit soin pour ses hôtes. Discrète mais présente si besoin. Nos 2 filles de 6 et 9 ans se sont éprises de Rufus, chien de Richard et Martha, très attachant. La piscine est superbement bien exposée et on y rentre comme dans un bain ! L éducation à l environnement et au gaspillage avec les enfants prend toute sa siginication dans cette villa raccordée à l eau de pluie.

Fantastic villa, gorgeous views and so relaxing

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. We have been to the area several times before, but never stayed at such a tranquil, beautiful place. The views were amazing and it was lovely to have dinner outside and see the stars come out after dark. The girls (aged 6 and 6) loved the surroundings and the pool especially as it was warm, safe and helped improve their diving! Martha and Richard are lovely and are available to ask questions, advice if you ever need it and nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend this villa and will hopefully be back soon with my sister and her family. The perfect place to chill, relax and spend quality time as a family. Jaime Welsh (Manchester, UK)

One of the things that Richard and I enjoyed the most is to see our Guests going back home looking relaxed and radiant. The fact that they spent a lot of the time relaxing by the pool or reading and enjoying the cool breezes of the River Terrace, having BbQs at home, after coming back from the beach or touring seems to contribute to it, I think. The way of life in this part of Spain is still very 'Spanish' and relaxed, which makes it pleasurable to try the local food and take part in the many colorful Summer festivities of the local towns. We are blessed with the families and couples who come to Villa Majones. They are people who look after their environment, treat the villa as their own homes with care and respect. This family was a pleasure to meet and it will be a pleasure to see them when they decide to come back to holiday in Villa Majones again.

The perfect place to relax with spectacular views.

We had a perfect time lounging around the pool in Villa Majones. We enjoyed the serenity and isolation of the villa, which provided perfect peace and quiet. The children really enjoyed the pool which was warm and very clean. The views from the terrace are breathtaking and made sitting out for dinner in the evenings very special. Throughout our stay we ate at a variety of places . Of these, we found La Taska, Casa Babel and El Cantonet to be particularly enjoyable and very good value for money. It was amazing to see all the wildlife around the villa; geckos, bats, tarantulas and a variety of birds. Martha and Richard were perfect hosts very unobtrusive but there if needed. Thank you so much for our time in this beautiful place. We will remember this holiday forever and hopefully return in the not to distant future.

We enjoyed this family's stayed very much and yes, it is an extremely beautiful part of Spain, which offers the possibility of unwinding and relaxing as well as the oppurtunity to enjoy the local beaches and to visit the nearby town which still maintain traditional custom and colorful fiestas.

Beautiful relaxing villa on a mountain

Al fresco dining on the veranda and then relaxing at the loungers watching the sunset Over the mountains.. Saying good night to the 3 wise men at sunset (see if you can spot them!).. And the amazing smell from the flowers when they opened their petals at the end of the Night. It is THE memory I'm taking with me....haven't been that relaxed in a very long time.

Peaceful villa outstanding views

We have just returned from this lovely villa, it has to be said the drive up the mountain to the villa is a little bumpy but with glorious views, when you reach the villa with its beautiful veranda looking out directly over the mountains its well worth it. If you are looking for relaxation and peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings then you wont find better than this. Richard and Martha are lovely and very understanding we had 4 teenage boys with us who loved the pool and of course Rufus the dog who we wanted to take home with us. The villa itself was comfortable and with enough space to accomodate all 6 if us although the bathroom could have been a little bigger we all managed fine. A little slice of heaven!

This place is just wonderful! There were six of us in our party, myself my partner and our daughter (aged 3), my mum, dad and sister and each of us all agree, this is the perfect place for a secluded family get away. The pool is wonderful and the views while swimming just take your breath away. Also, for young families, it is safely locked away behind a fence so no issues with wandering toddlers! The house itself is ideal, a great little kitchen and three bedrooms with comfy beds, but the terrace is the real star of the show. We were each left speechless when we first walked out to the most amazing views of the Spanish hills and each and every one of us had at least one siesta out there as, not only is it beautiful, but silent too. Yes, the villa is a little off the beaten track (to be specific it is quite a way up a mountain with no phone reception or Wi-Fi) but if I am honest that is exactly what we needed, to be away from everyone and everything. You can visit Villalonga, Gandia, Gandia Beach etc easily enough in the car and Valencia is only a train ride away so its location is perfect really, just close enough to entertainment if you want it but far enough away too. Martha and Richard were brilliant, we may not have seen much of them but when we needed advice and help they were always on hand. Martha changed all the sheets after the first week and my daughter especially loved her horse bedding during week two! We have had many wonderful family holidays and this one is right up at the top.

Mountain treat

We were greeted by the owners in town by prior arrangement and followed them up a mountain road to the villa, tucked away on the edge of a valley and with stunning views. For the next week we spent most of the time in the pool or relaxing in the shade with its great views. The road out to the Town of L'Orxa is very scenic and not too far either for a keen walker. And what a wonderful animal Rufus the dog was, we all really enjoyed his company when he occasionally visited us and would run alongside our motorbike on our trips to the town. a piece of paradise

Dear Martha and Richard Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this small corner of paradise with us. Thank you also for your generosity and good council! We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away from it all and take in the real Spain. The views really do take your breath away and the hospitality we were shown made us feel at home immediately. We came with our elderly Mum, who has mobility problems but we found the accommodation extremely good for her getting around. I can't emphasise enough what a beautiful and relaxing place this is. Amazing, Peaceful, Tranquil Villa

'Dear Martha and Richard, Wow, the pictures of the villa site look good, but to see all of this in person is amazing. It really touches ones soul. Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven with us. It is just been perfect. The kids have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the pool. We have loved spending time with the dogs, and Rufus is our favourite . He will hold a place in all our hearts when we return to England. Reading your Guest Book, he is loved by all families, but it has been nice that he has made us feel a bit special and cared for by him. We hope to return one day and see more of this lovely area as well. Sorry we did not get to see you to say goodbye. We had a lovely evening at Piles and off early for a flight, but a massive thank you for all your help (especially ipod charging) and hopefully see you again one day. PS. RUFUS WE LOVE YOU'

Unos días fantásticos

La casa Majones resultó ideal para lo que buscábamos nosotros: desconectar de la rutina, descansar en un ambiente relajado, y visitar los alrededores (Gandía, Oliva y Villalonga). Aunque fue toda una sorpresa encontrarnos con todos los extras. Las vistas desde la terraza son imponentes (sobre todo los atardeceres), la brisa es continua, por lo que no pasamos demasiado calor, la piscina un lujo, y en general la casa tenía de todo en la cocina (lo que no es muy común en este tipo de alojamiento). Martha y Richard nos ayudaron en todo lo que necesitamos, y nos dejaron pasar algunos ratos con sus perros: Rufus, Lya y Lucky. Encantadores. Al final no visitamos casi ningún sitio de los alrededores, ya que no queríamos movernos de esa terraza. Aunque un día fuimos a comer una fideuà a un restaurante en la urbanización Reprimala llamado Diddley. Totalmente recomendable. Decididamente nos gustaría repetir el año próximo... y el otro.

Verry special !

After a last walk with Rufus, it is time to say goodbye. We have spend a wonderful holiday in Villa Majones and the whole area. Especially we loved the nice views, the friendly people and the blue, blue sea. Thank you for all your help, support and practical information. Belgian family with two kids aged 4 and 7.

It is amazing how much kids and adults love Rufus. Our Guests' Book is full of drawings and stories about him. He seems to be especially wonderful for kids who have been traumatised by dogs, or grown ups who love dogs and are grieving the passing away of a beloved pet. We are very glad that this lovely Belgian family enjoyed their holiday with us. This is really our aim. We feel privileged to live in this beautiful and still unspoiled area of Spain and to have the opportunity to make it available to others as well.
