Beautiful Property / Nice that it's not directly in town

Downtown McCall can get really hectic, so we were very pleased to be located 10 minutes away in such a nice property. The house is very well appointed and clean, and the neighborhood is great for walking around / exploring peaceful scenery.

We enjoyed our stay at The Chalet. The home itself was beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and immaculate. The owners have thought of everything in making it a luxurious and relaxing place to stay. We loved the pond and watching the wildlife; as well as the pool at the Clubhouse and the spa. We will be back!

Perfect location!

This property was one of our favorite properties we have rented on VRBO. It was perfectly located far enough outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown McCall but close enough it wasn't a hassle to run into town. The property itself was clean and well appointed. The home backs up to a pond and we constantly had geese and goslings in the yard and twice we noticed a Bald Eagle flying around the pond.

Great place ... just as advertised.

Took the family for a post Christmas stay and had the best time. The reviews I read online were accurate and the property description was as advertised. The host was responsive to some of my silly questions and they made sure we had everything we needed. My kids didn't want to leave when our time was finished and we could have stayed a week and not been bored. I would definitely return and stay again.

We had a wonderful sister's weekend from start to finish. The communication was great and we had no issues. Checkout was a breeze. Everything was just right. I did not even notice (so this in not a complaint-but more of an FYI) until the last night there is no TV in the master. BUT THAT IS PROBABLY GOOD! Just in case others are wanting that! We spent our time in the hottub, hiking walking down by the river, playing games, drinking wine and laughing! It was just what we needed.

McCall Summer Camp

Lauren was outstanding….best and most responsive property manager we have ever had for a VRBO…..property was great….as advertised….We had few questions and needed help with some access code issues at Community Center and she answered in seconds…..the community center was an awesome amenity……the house was stocked with games, all the equipment you could ask for, Keurig, and even had cooking oils, condiments, and species in the cabinets and frig……Property and Lauren are great and we will seek her out for future McCall rentals.

Perfection

I've never felt more at home in a rental house. We found the home to be clean, extremely comfortable, and uncluttered while having everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the views are gorgeous. It was the perfect home base for our family of five for skiing, snow tubing and ice skating. Lauren was very helpful and responsive to questions. A minor note is that we didn't see any items for very young kids (e.g. high chair, non-glass plates and cups). That was fine for us on this trip since our youngest is 5 now, but finding these at rental houses in the past was helpful. Overall, a stellar experience.

Hi Heather, Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Our cabin is a special place for our family, which is why it has such a home-like feel—we’ve stocked it with all the things we love and need to make the space comfortable. While we occasionally rent it out when we're not using it, it remains a personal retreat for us. Regarding kid-friendly items, we don’t personally have young children, so the cabin isn’t specifically stocked with those amenities. Thank you again for staying with us and for your kind review!

Peaceful McCall

My family of 5 had a great vacation at the property! We really enjoyed the peaceful quiet setting and the location just out of the busy streets of McCall. We spent time both in McCall and in the Tamarack area, the house is at a perfect location to visit both! The house had great extra touches to make it feel more like a home than just a rental from cooking oils and spices to bathroom toiletries. The beds were very comfortable with memory foam and standard pillows to suit any sleeping preference. My young kids loved the bunk beds and the cute stuffed animals. We also enjoyed the gym at the club house - beautiful amenities. We can’t wait to book our stay here next summer! Lauren was fantastic and made sure we knew where to reach her if we had any questions during our stay.

Amazing home and location

We rented this house and our family rented another one around the corner in Black Hawk on the River. This house was set up with everything we needed. The location was beautiful and the area was quiet. Lauren was on top of communicating with us about our stay. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable place to stay near McCall. The location was just close enough to make a quick trip into town when we needed to and secluded enough to avoid the chaos in town. We will be back!

À propos de l’hôte

Image de profil de l’hôte
My husband and I have been vacationing to McCall together for the last 10 years. It became a dream of ours to own our own cabin in the last 3 years. At the end of 2020, we had the opportunity to make that dream a reality. We love our cabin so much that we wanted to be able to share that with others. We hope that you get to enjoy our slice of heaven just as much as we do!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This property immediately spoke to us. The view off the pond. The vaulted ceilings with tongue and groove detail. The large lot. The privacy. The peace and quiet. The 7.5 miles of trail access. Access to the Payette River. Slightly outside of town. The amazing views of the night sky (you must see it for yourself to believe it!).

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Set on the longest protected stretch of the Payette River in McCall, Blackhawk is a conservation-oriented riverfront community carefully designed to preserve the natural environment, abundant wildlife and uncrowded recreation that make the McCall area so special. As a resident, you’ll enjoy all this and more:

Five miles of pristine Payette River frontage.
If you love to flyfish, canoe or just read a book by crystal-clear flowing water, you can’t imagine a more tranquil setting than this classic freestone stream.

More than 500 acres of preserved open space.
By limiting the number of homes, we’ve left broad scenic expanses for you to explore with family and guests. Hundreds of acres of real estate will be protected forever through a conservation easement, including our amazing 364-acre Wildlife Preserve.

Just 10 minutes from downtown McCall.
In spite of its wild, natural feel, Blackhawk puts you surprisingly close to everything you need. McCall’s shops, restaurants and airport are a short drive away. And Blackhawk is located only 12 miles from Tamarack and Brundage Mountain resorts.

Luxurious community amenities.
You’ll enjoy an expansive 10,000+/- sq. ft. community River Lodge, with a pool and outdoor spa, steam room and sauna, spa treatment facilities, concierge, fitness center, media center and more. In addition, Blackhawk boasts its own 7.8-mile trail system, connecting to over 500 miles more in Valley County.
