Worst booking ever

My father was admitted to St Luke’s ICU and My Mother and I were going to stay here so that we would be close since we live 2 hours away. I called and messaged the host numerous times with no response. An hour after check in we still had no response from him. The VRBO service desk helped us cancel the reservation and find a last minute replacement but it was a horrible experience.

Apartment was nice, but there were too many issues

The place was clean and very nice and if I had to make future trips to Houston, I would’ve stayed there but getting a hold of the owner/property manager was a difficult to say the least. The key card didn’t work half the time, which prevented us from accessing the pool and getting into the property itself! The code to get into the apartment worked, but the device required a new battery and luckily my husband had packed with us and replaced. We called the owner and he said he would call “someone” And she showed two hours later
missing lightbulbs, 1 of the dining room chairs was sitting outside broken, my husband fixed it by going to a hardware store to purchase screws. One of the other chairs was also close to falling apart, but we didn’t do anything to fix that. The washer was broken and required a repair from property staff, only to find out it couldn’t be fixed and they just replaced it with a new one. There were 3 towels For a whole weekday for two people. There was no soap or shampoo. We Planned on buying food to cook there, but didn’t realize we would have to buy additional towels, dish, detergent, tabs, laundry tabs are dryer sheets. Normally, these things are provided during a stay with any place booked through Vrbo
 We went to the Leasing office after We checked out and found out that the guy listing the property didn’t even own it. It’s owned by a private company, and we’re thinking He was unable to finish out his lease, so he rented it out as an Airbnb.

Perfect for going to Events at NRG Stadium

Perfect for our family of 3. Short distance to the METRORail that takes you to NRG stadium. Very convenient if you’re going to a concert. The apartment was clean and as described. We had no issues with check in.

Apartment was very dated, Bed was uncomfortable. Room would accommodate a king. Oven is not heating

Very dated not real clean. Looks like all was bought from thrift store. Couch very uncomfortable. Could use better bed pillows.

property is very spacious and large - 2 big bedrooms, large living room - only had keurig coffee maker with no pods - so I actually left a coffee press I bought there as it cost as much to buy pods as the press cost. A pitcher would be a nice additional also - place is basic but very close to nrg stadium so was perfect for us

Lower floor

Location of apartment made it impossible to get outside light in so the rooms were dark all the time. Felt closed in. Also bought groceries to cook meals but then no can opener do we had to eat out. Took 36 hours to get one brought by. But great location!

Great Location, Comfortable

This was perfect for what we needed and we could walk to the rodeo. Comfortable and would recommend for someone attending events at the NRG stadium.

Accessible to redline and medical facilities

Location works to easily access MDAnderson via inexpensive metro red line. Takes a 15-minute walk to nearby grocery store (Lyft home, the first day with groceries). Generally apartment was comfortable, though too lightly supplied for ease of healthy cooking (e. g. Warped Teflon pans, no baking dishes, lacking containers for storage, and the like). We would stay again.
