YOU’LL FEEL AS IF YOU’VE STEPPED BACK IN TIME WHEN VISITING OUR BED AND BREAKFAST IN THE HISTORIC DOGTROT HOUSE

The Ranch at Walston Springs is not the usual Bed and Breakfast in a Victorian Home. Our 1891 Dogtrot House Bed & Breakfast gives you the feel of a rustic cabin retreat with the charm of a B&B stay. The Dogtrot House has 3 private rooms, each with their own full bath, and The Pantry and porches as shared common areas.

The Cowboy Room is the third of our B&B rooms. The Cowboy Room lets you escape back to the good ole days. The tin ceiling is adorned with stars to let you “sleep under the stars” just like the Cowboys did. Peaceful dreams await with in the rustic and cozy Cowboy Room.

As we said, you’ll have a unique stay at The Ranch at Walston Springs in this western themed room

You’ll enjoy our one of a kind Sherriff’s Office private bathroom featuring our “Jail Cell” shower and enamel bowl sink.

This room offers a Queen-size bed, individually controlled air conditioning/heat, satellite television, and WIFI.

You will also enjoy our hand crafted guest amenities; shampoo. soaps, etc.

All guests at The Dogtrot House have access to the Pantry, a common area kitchenette located in the breezeway. The Pantry has a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig Coffee maker for our guests to use. There is also a Grill for guests to use behind The Dog Trot House.

Start your day at The Ranch enjoying a hot cup of coffee and the view from The Dogtrot porch. A home-cooked breakfast is served to you, room service style. You may enjoy dining in your room or at any of the outdoor tables in the breezeway.

Don’t forget your fishing gear! You are welcome to enjoy our 1 acre, private spring fed spring lake. No license required.

You will also enjoy our hand crafted guest amenities; soaps, shampoo, and lotions.

Wonderful getaway in the country

We had a truly lovely visit and this expansive and secluded property in the country.

Beautiful people and awesome love abounding but room was small and shower curtain to the bathroom was odd. Loved the personal touch and love great people. Frankly a lot of money for what is there. Hope you succeed - we were lucky and no other guests while we were there. But 2 other couples staying in same small space woukd have been bad.

The Ranch at Walston Springs is a beautiful piece of property that provides the perfect quiet getaway when visiting Palestine. The owners are extremely personable, greeting us upon arrival and making themselves available for any thing we might need. The homemade breakfast was brought to our cabin and was delicious. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

One night getaway

The property was beautiful and the hosts very accommodating and nice. We just stayed one night, passing through. We stayed in the Cowboy room. Cute room set up. Very nice small Kitchener in hallway to share with three rooms and had everything you need. I could put my eye medicine in fridge and hubby could have 10:00 pm coffee without bothering anyone. Definitely would stay there again.

The Best Ever

This stay was so much more than I could have imagined. The property is well maintained, the cowboy room decorated in very cute rustic decor. The hot shower was fantastic after a long day. We all slept good, breakfast was delicious, and Max is the sweetest cat ever. If we are ever back in the area, this will be where we return.
