Devon, we are sorry about your disappointment. Unfortunately, appliances are never guaranteed, which is generally standard with rentals and noted within our rental contract. We did take this matter seriously and upon awareness, personally dropped off a brand-new dryer and had an electrician over the next day to hook up. I appreciate your acknowledgment that this was handled as quickly as possible. Regarding your comment about mold- the house was inspected at the end of April, to which there was evidence of neither leaks or mold. Our house is abutting a saltwater marsh and close to the ocean which naturally creates a unique smell. Mold is a serious allegation and upon receiving the comment, I followed up for more information on specific room and location so I could send someone to evaluate, but did not receive a response. Despite not having additional details, we did investigate the matter and have found no standing water or evidence of leaks. We apologize that this negatively impacted your stay. It’s unfortunate that an unforeseen circumstance with the dryer has seemingly tainted your entire experience. We take a lot of pride in our home and guest rental experience and try to address any issues in a timely manner.
