Your 2 bedroom villa at Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club offers a fully equipped kitchen, separate living/dining area, washer/dryer in unit, and a furnished lanai featuring island or ocean views. Located by the ocean on Poipu Beach, you'll enjoy many resort amenities, on site dining at Honu Pool Bar & Grill, three sparkling pools, fabulous whirlpool hot tubs, or lounging on the beach. If you're interested in exploring beyond the resort, Kauai's South Shore is at your fingertips, including Poipu Beach, Horn Park and Old Koloa Town.

Accommodations at Waiohai are maintained by Marriott, and all units are nearly identical inside. Well, we had an tsunami evacuation in the midst of our trip! Of course, this was in no way the resort's fault. However, we didn't appreciate that we were left "on our own" in terms of how to leave (not all guests had rental cars), how to get food, or where to go. Also, when the evacualtion order was downgraded to an advisory, we came back to find our room keys no longer worked and the resort front desk let us know not to reach out to them in case we ended up needing help. Later I heard the Hyatt moved all their guests to upper floors and provided a banquet dinner, so no one had to leave or figure out food on their own. Not sure why the Mariott didn't do something similar.Other than that, everything was amazing.

Beautiful resort and a great location

We really loved this resort. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The beach was lovely. We enjoyed snorkeling, looking at the tide pools, swimming, and watching the sea turtles hang out on the beach in the next cove over. Parking is underground, which is great because your car doesn’t get so hot. Just as an FYI, the “ocean view” rooms don’t necessarily have an ocean view. I wouldn’t pay extra for that.

Great location and amenities!

The property was great! There were activities for all ages and the location couldn't be beat! My slightly lower rating was because we paid for an ocean view, but when we arrived it was considered a "partial " ocean view, which is not what i was expecting as there is definitely a difference. Other than that, the property was great!

pretty good

condo was really nice, marriot property was great in good condition and we enjoyed the pools, good bar, easy beach access, nice sunsets. Only downside with this particular unit is view. Technically (and charged as) an ocean view, our view from 2nd level was fence, parking lot, trees and a tiny sliver of blue ocean through the branches off to one side.

Perfect place

We didn't have a car but didn't really need one. Perfect location - walking distance to restaurants and bus stop very close (and only 50cents per ride) so we were able to shop for groceries and cook all our meals (we went out to eat just a handful of times). Snorkeled and boogie boarded at beach in front of property. Went running many times. A good variety of fun activities available mostly free; did the Spam musubi class. Staff were excellent; felt like a hotel. Cleaned and supplied items as requested very quickly. Had prime rib at the bar - very tasty. Room: spacious, well-maintained. The pull-out sofabeds x2 were extremely comfortable - the best we've ever had in terms of sofa beds. Kitchenware well-stocked. Beautiful furniture choices. Grounds - BBQ extraordinarily cleaned. Beautiful grounds. Good variety of pools. Would love to come again!

Wonderful family vacation

Easily one of the nicest Marriott's we've stayed in. Very clean, and our "island view" room had a lovely view of the gorgeous surroundings. Highly recommend!
