The Apollo

Welcome to The Apollo! We are located in the heart of Avondale in West Ashley — a highly desirable neighborhood that’s only 10 minutes (2.5 miles) from downtown and 15 minutes (10 miles) from Folly Beach. Within 0.5 miles, there are a dozen restaurants and bars, a coffee shop, grocery store, pharmacy, laundromat, salon, two spas, a gym, and a yoga studio.

Our space is a separate apartment attached to our house. You have your own driveway, porch, and entrance. While we don’t have a full kitchen, there is a mini fridge, Keurig, and microwave.

You enter the rental into your own living room with a pull-out queen sofa. Beyond that, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has one queen bed and the other has two queen beds.

The location was great! It worked perfectly for us to explore Charleston from. We really liked the noon checkin and 3pm checkout time. The property was very clean and quiet. We would definitely rent again for our next visit to the Charleston area.

Thanks for the great review. Not sure why you gave 4 stars, but the A/C quit at 4am and we had an A/C out there to fix it t 10am.

If you’re just looking for a place to sleep it works okay. Other than that it had seating for 3 (was advertised to sleep 8) and it wasn’t comfortable at all. Master bed was hard as a rock. Can’t tell you about the other 2 beds in the other room. Rushed into booking due to 2 full beds in 1 room for my daughter, her boyfriend and my grandson. Should have thought it through more thoroughly. Will definitely not use again.

Allen, I’m sorry your stay was not as expected. It does sleep 8 — I’m not sure why you think otherwise. I’ve had nothing but compliments about the mattresses and I’m sorry that you did not find one of them comfortable. I understand how uncomfortable it must have been to have your daughter and her boyfriend in the same room as your grandson, but the pictures clearly show two queen beds in one room. I’m happy we were able to accommodate you with an early check in, but I’m sorry that I’m only learning about your less than 5-star stay in your online review. Good luck!

Nice location!

Stayed here for a long weekend with my wife and her friend. Location is in easy reach of downtown and the plantations, and there are variety of restaurants within walking distance. Very nice space and straightforward to check in.

My spouse, daughter, and I enjoyed our stay at the Apollo. Communication with our host Lisa was great. Lisa made wonderful recommendations. We enjoyed all her suggestions. Thank you Lisa! The property was exactly as advertised. Some of the things that were unexpected extras - BEDS - SUPER COMFY LINENS - great PARKING - perfect We were thrilled with this spot. Quick to downtown, close to Whole Foods, great space AND Lisa was super communicative. We wanted extra towels, we had them delivered to us. We will be back!

Perfect Charleston spot

We stayed with our 18 yo twins to attend graduation at College of a Charleston, perfect size, could not have been more comfortable and clean. Lisa, our host, was super nice and accommodating, we arrived to a dozen donuts! Great set up with coffee, small fridge, cute deck, private driveway, all the basics, quiet neighborhood and a quick drive to the center of Charleston, I would definitely recommend and we would stay here again.
