Personable and attentive caretaker, Christian, went above and beyond to make our family of four comfortable. The pool and patio was a delight in summer!

The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos

The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos. Having our own carpark was a real bonus (there isn’t much parking in Bonnieux). We could walk everywhere within the village. There is a very good little convenience store and the Boulangerie is lovely. The pool was a real bonus. We would recommend Le Lieutenant. (Septembre 2025)

We really enjoyed our stay in Bonnieux, great location and close to many of the beautiful villages in the Luberon. The pool and terrace were better than we expected , the photos didn’t do it justice. Christian was a great help recommending restaurants etc (July 2024)

We had a lovely stay at Le Lieutenant. We enjoyed being able to cook and relax on the deck. We could walk to anywhere in the village. Having our own carpark made it super easy to get in and out of the village.

Great

The location is great, the parking is conveniently located right next to the building, and the view from the window is fantastic. The manager was also very kind. I've stayed in many Gites in Bonnieux in the past, but I would like to stay at Le Lieutenant again if there is availability.

Bonjour. Thanks for hosting us. The apartment was fine with a great view. Bonnieux is a lovely town with easy access to other towns in the area. The apartment, pool and nearby restaurants were excellent. You may need to travel to other towns for variety. Don’t miss the hiking and cycling opportunities. Thanks.

A perfect and gorgeous apartment with peace and birdsong! Flawless. Amandine and Christian were absolute treasures and I feel very fortunate to have found this jewel in one of the most stunning villages. Thank you all! I will be back!

Very pleased to have worked again with Amandine, who was very responsive and spot on with listening to my priorities and then advising Ithis property for my stay in January. Yes, it's an unusual time to visit Provence, but the peace and quiet, combined with wide open winter skies, was just right for much-needed recharging the batteries. The property is exactly as it looks and all worked very well, including the resident caretaker Christian who was very responsive when something needed seeing to.

April 2024

Great stay. Christian welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a bunch op tips on what to do when we weren’t climbing. The apartment complex is in the middle of Bonnieux. This particular apartment in the complex was very light. The kitchen is well equipped, especially for a holiday rental. Overall, the apartment was better than the pictures suggested. There’s a no party policy, so even though the floors are quite thin between the apartments, we had a very chill and quiet stay. (Avril 2024)

We love La Bastide

Het is een heel praktisch appartement. Goed gelegen in het dorp van Bonnieux. Vriendelijk onthaal. Het zwembad is dringend aan een grote onderhoudsbeurt toe. Moet opnieuw geschilderd worden. En het onderhoud van de terrassen rond het zwembad kan beter.

Wunderbare Wochen in der Nachsaison

Wir haben mehrere Wochen im Herbst in der alten Gendarmerie verbracht. Man kann von dort aus sehr schöne Radtouren in der ganzen Region unternehmen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce joli appartement dans l'ancienne gendarmerie de Bonnieux. La Région est une des plus belles de la France - aussi en arrière-saison. Superbes possibilités de faire du vélo! Il faisait souvent très beau et nous avons pu prende le café sur la terrasse au mois de novembre. Je recommande vivement!

Un havre de paix et de farniente au sein d’un très beau village provençal

Une ancienne gendarmerie réaménagée avec goût dans un très beau village. Des équipements de qualité et aménagement des espaces partagés n’invitant qu’à la détente. (Août 2025) RAS. Si ce n’est la couverture wifi à des endroits précis dans l’appart. Mais ce n’est pas un gros problème.

Meget dejligt sted

God stor lejlighed, når man er to. Vi nød meget at sidde udenfor - spiste stort set alle vores måltider på altanen. Godt køkken og gode senge. Dejligt med den opvarmede pool her sidst i september. Rigtig god base for både vandretur og bilture rundt i Luberon.

Tusind tak for en dejlig ferie under superflotte forhold!

Boligen og alle faciliteter var endnu bedre end beskrevet og vist på fotos. Ægte Provence stemning, og der var aldrig problemer med at finde plads ved poolen heller. Jeg selv og mine tre voksne børn nød at være i det gamle Gendarmerie, og vi fire havde rigeligt plads til både ophold på vores balkon, madlavning hjemme i køkkenet og hygge i stuen. Selvom vi var forsinket ved indtjekning pga. trafik, var vi hurtigt på plads takket være god info fra Amandine og især ekstraordinær service af Christian, tusind tak! Vi vil med glæde komme igen. 5 stjerner fra fire danskere!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung, die geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber war. Die Aussicht ist großartig. Christian ist sehr, sehr nett, er hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns gute Tipps gegeben. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut von Bonnieux aus zu erreichen, das Wetter war im Oktober ideal!
