This property was perfectly located in the downtown Astoria boardwalk district one street away from the piers and had easy access to many of the restaurants and other attractions we were interested in. We loved the creative and eclectic decor and the creature comforts provided by our host. We highly recommend this property to anyone who's looking to relax and enjoy their stay in comfort and convenience.

A one-of-a-kind, must see place. Having the Astoria underground tour next door was an added bonus. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Jeff was a very good host.

This is a great spot as a home base to take in all of our story most drink spots are able to be walked to and lounging around the site is awesome

This rental was truly one of a kind. It was like living in a museum. We wanted to learn more about Astoria’s history, and this was the perfect place to do that. There was so much memorabilia in every room, and the rental looks into the underground, which was fascinating. The location is perfect. We left our car and easily walked to restaurants, bars, the waterfront, and the Sunday market. Our host, was so accommodating and gracious. He checked in with us, offered recommendations, and invited us to be part of his underground tour. We can’t recommend this enough and, we plan to come back.

Our delightful stay in this exceptional unit will never be forgotten! How amazing is it to sleep within walls of the underground, a key component of Astoria history? VERY AMAZING! The unit is functional and comfortable with pleasant amenities and unique furniture, lighting and other surprising features. The unit pales only in comparison to Jeff, the host, who is one of the friendliest, knowledgeable and helpful pillars of the Astoria community we've ever met in our many trips to this fun, artsy, and scenic town. We express our sincere gratitude to Jeff - as a true humanitarian and historian - for opening this unique unit to us. (And for the enlightening underground tour -definitely worth experiencing during your stay). Book this, and have fun, while respecting the history of this PNW town!

This a safe, clean, very comfortable place to stay and so, so much more! It’s an experience! Right in the center of Astoria, with parking at doorstep. Walk to all the delights of Astoria! The tour of the underground multiplies the fun! Just go ahead and book it!

Surprised my husband for his 80th birthday and it's all he can talk about. It's a fun place with something new to check out every time you walk in to a room. It's within walking distance of many pubs and fun shops. Sorry that we didn't have time to do the underground tour. We'll catch it next time. Thank you to the wonderful host Jeff.

This place was situated in a perfect spot with a great walk score in Astoria. The host was nice and welcomed us on arrival. The steam shower was great and relaxing.

The building leaks when it rains I brought my 83-year-old grandfather to the coast because he loves Astoria. I would’ve not put him in a place that would’ve put water on the floor, buckets to dance around when you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. There is also a large hole in the middle of the hallway that has a foam board on top of it that depresses about a half inch. It also has a rug on top of it that hides it. This mini tripping hazards I would’ve not had an elderly person stay in the place. None of this was disclosed when booking. The art decor was cool and location is great. The host is a nice guy. Still the roof leaks when it rains, and this is the Oregon coast. It rains seven months of the year.

This is our first review below five stars in four years of hosting hundreds of guests. Last week we had a severe coastal storm that was classified as a cyclone with 70mph winds and torrential rain that caused a new leak in the hallway. The bucket in the hallway was a temporary measure to catch unexpected drips. The unit is handicap accessible, and this is the first complaint we’ve received about the rugs. We always welcome the opportunity to discuss accessibility needs in advance so we can help guests determine whether the layout is suitable. Separately, I had neighbors concerned about your openly carried 357 firearm. We are a weapon-free establishment, and guest safety includes respecting that policy. Your concerns about the property deserve attention, just as our neighbors’ concerns deserve. We will make aware our weapon-free policy more explicit in the listing.

A feast for the eyes.

We absolutely loved our stay here, everything was amazing. We kept finding new treasure every time we looked around. The location is perfect to walk around Astoria. After a long day of fishing the patio was a great place to relax, with a fireplace and music. 10/10 will book again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
