    Host never responded (scammer)

    I booked with this property, got a confirmation, flew out the day of, arrived to front office of residence. Was told that it was illegal to (VRBO) this apartment. Tried to reach out to host and got no response. Tried to contact VRBO directly and was only able to “talk” to a virtual assistant that got me nowhere. Had to check into a hotel…I’ve been using VRBO for years and this is the first time that this has happened. I just want my money back.
