Welcome to Tranquility Skies, where mountainside luxury, relaxation AND convenience unite! Our newly remodeled 2 BDRM/2 BATH luxury home (sleeps 8) is located only a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg! Enjoy your evenings relaxing on the multi-level decks, sipping a glass of wine, and taking in the gorgeous mountain views. With 2 separate living spaces to lounge in, two fireplaces, a large soaking tub, steamy sauna and scenic views, our lodge is designed for the perfect vacation!

The house was clean inside. The upstairs was spacious and comfortable for my 3 daughters. The bed upstairs was comfortable. The room downstairs did the job, but the bed and pillows were absolutely awful. The last night I had to move to the couch. Bring your own pillows! Upon arrival, the outside patios were a mess and not set up at all. Chairs were in random places and pillows and cushions were all over. The table was filthy. Rugs were all pushed against the rail and not out for us to use. There was a dirty high chair outside that should have been put away before we arrived. We didn’t get to take advantage of the outside much due to the effort I would have had to put in to even sit out there. The check-in process would have been better if we were given a unit number, which we were not. We had to match the pictures to the building. Make note the house is at the absolute TOP of the mountain. Once you’re down you will want to stay down for the day. It’s a trek to go back and forth. The host was communicative and responsive for the most part. Would I stay here again-No. Gatlinburg is a cool city with a lot to do. Pigeon Forge and Sevierville also have things to do and not a bad drive. All in all I was disappointed with the house, but enjoyed our Christmas in the mountains. I am frequent to VRBO so I set higher expectations for my stay.

The views were fantastic. We really enjoyed our week there. It is quite the trek up a mountain, but totally worth it if you're looking for a beautiful veiw fairly close to Gatlinburg. The drive is about 15 minutes up mountain roads. We saw bears twice on the drive up/down the mountain. My only complaint is that the pillows could use replacing. You my want to bring your own. The house is exactly as described and I highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Gatlinberg.

This chalet is one of the nicest and cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in. When we arrived it felt like we were staying in a newly constructed home. We thought the first floor was nice but when we ascended to the second level we knew we would sleep in that room. Very spacious and everything we needed to relax.The host was very gracious and communicated everything we needed ahead of our stay. When we arrived we entered the code and walked right in.The two-lane road leading to the chalet made it feel like we were driving to the top of the world. Although from what we could see that might be most places in Gatlinburg :D. Totally worth it for the views and quiet neighborhood.We recommend this chalet as one of the nicest in the area. Great location and convenient to everything.

This house is not habitable. The water is turned off for the whole house. The beds are not made and have dirty linens, the toilets are clogged and not running, the house is full of dead bugs, there are multiple holes in the drywall and exposed internal plumbing, the furniture is displaced and not at all what is shown in the listing photos.

This was a horrible experience for me and my family. The property was not cleaned, the water was off, toilets full of urine. There was a hole in the wall if the master bedroom , installation all over. We drove 6 hours from Alabama and ended having to drive all the way back the same night. Customer service was no help and could not offer any other accommodations. Waitingvon a refund that i have not received yet.

Wonderful retreat

Chilling in the mountains.

I really enjoyed my stay. My friend and I drove to Cherokee and back,just taking in the views. The house was beautiful. The floor plan is great for couples. The entire stay was great.

Mixed feelings

The property picture made it appear more roomy than it was. The view was gorgeous as the condo i at the top of one of the smokey mountains! (Making a little more out of the way than we expected) Large table and chairs on deck. Great for playing games and much arger than the dining table and chairs. Forest had lots of ladybugs who liked to find their way into the house. Owner explained forest service imported them so not able to use any pesticides to remove them. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are cute towns with lots of touristy things to do. The weather was beautiful during our stay.

Get away from the rat race

We love the location of the condo and the amazing views that came along with that. The cleanliness was also impressive. Our host was very gracious and accommodating to all our needs. I highly recommend this location for quiet getaway, but still not too far from the action

Misleading Photos, Dirty and Poorly Maintained Property – Would Not Recommend

We would not recommend this VRBO property to our family or friends. The house was in poor condition—dirty, weathered, and worn—and did not live up to the expectations set by the listing photos, which misrepresented the true state of the property. Inside, we found dirty walls, windows, and doors, along with unwashed rugs that were stained. The furniture was heavily stained and unpleasant to use, and the bathroom shower floors showed signs of mold, which was concerning for hygiene and health. The outdoor areas were equally disappointing. The decks were in terrible condition, with bird droppings scattered everywhere. The wood on the decks was badly deteriorated, and one section of the soffit on the upper deck was completely rotted, posing a potential safety hazard. We were so dissatisfied with the conditions that we left after just one night, despite having booked for four. When we contacted the owner, the only response we received was an offer to send over a cleaning crew, which clearly would not have addressed the larger issues. This property is in desperate need of significant repairs and maintenance, not just a superficial cleaning. We feel it was a complete misrepresentation and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Not quite what we expected

The property was not as clean as I had hoped. The floors had not been cleaned in a while and walking around in our white socks collected quite a bit of dark stain. Also there were mouse droppings in all dresser drawers. We could not enjoy the great view sitting on the deck. When we arrived most of the cushions from the deck seating were laying out on the floor of the deck. They were very dirty and soaked from an earlier rain. We put them all back on the chairs and wiped them off but they never dried completely. There were waterproof covers in a pile in the corner but had not been used to cover the seating. The purpose of our trip was to relax and enjoy the mountain air and the view but that did not happen.
