We are on a rare large double-lot with historic live oak trees and steps to the beach. The Public Beach Access begins at our property. The unit is newly renovated; we opened up the balcony so you can enjoy the ocean views and the cool sea breeze—centrally located minutes from golf, shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. We are dog friendly, with each unit having a locking gate for the front patio/balcony.

Greta location beautiful place

This was a great little find in N Myrtle. One block from the beach! Place was clean, host was very communicative and helpful. We plan to stay again!

Perfect get away

The inside matches what is advertised. I thought the outdoor area was a bit bigger for the dogs but some of the yard is used for parking. Other than that the house was perfect and located just a short walk to the beach. Plenty of places to eat, and things to do! We will definitely be back!

Home Away From Home

The entire process of renting the unit and staying there was easy, affordable and comfortable. The owners always answered my questions in a timely manner. It was really nice to come back "home" after the beach, with the dog, instead of a motel room . It was very clean. I can't emphasize enough how appreciative we were for having such dog friendly hosts. There is an upper and lower unit and no sound proofing therefore,I would kindly advise that noise curfew be respected, so that everyone can enjoy their stay.

Relax by the beach

My wife and I (along with our dog) spent ten nights at Michael's place. We had a wonderful time. The property location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk to Crescent beach and close to all that the Myrtle Beach area has to offer. Michael is a fantastic host, responded promptly to my numerous inquiries, before and during the stay. After we checked in, we needed a few additional things and Michael brought them over the same day. The property itself is super cute, perfect for our group. There is a giant TV in the living room and a smaller one in the Master BR with all the entertainment you would need. We cooked many of our meals there and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed (a dishwasher would have been a nice bonus!). The washer-dryer came in very handy for our long stay. Highly recommended to anyone looking to spend any time in the Myrtle Beach area.

Place was fine. Get some decent pots and pans so renter can cook. I thought it was close to stores and restaurants but I must have misunderstood.

To start off, when we first got there everything was well. We had a really good stay until the end of the week. On Friday the last day, the air condition went out at 10:30 or 11:00 and we tried calling numerous times the owners to get this fixed because it was getting hot early. We had our puppy with us and we could not go out and do anything on our last day, which we have plans to do, we had to stay at the cottage to leave the doors open to let air flow through so that it wouldn't be too hot on our puppy (she is a little on the heavy side & the heat is hard on her). Once we started calling them to let them know we had no air it took them until 1:00 or 1:30 to get back to us to let us know that we wasn't going to have air until up to 5:30. With that said, the HVAC guy didn't even get there until after 5:30 So that meant that we had to stay there that whole time with our puppy to keep from getting too hot by leaving the doors open. They never tried to accommodate us to keep us in the cool on our last day so we could go ahead and go do the things that we had already planned. When I talked to Catherine about this air problem, she told me that this has happened before and they were planning on replacing the unit but they never got around to doing that. If that was the case they shouldn't have rented out the cottage. I consider that very unprofessional and wrong. We had to waste the whole day staying there so that our puppy could have air. There is more than one HVAC company in North Myrtle Beach but yet they couldn't check on finding another. They just called one and stuck with that one and made us stay there all day. I'ma a Christian lady & we had two of the most sweetest christian ladies downstairs that made us have a great stay as well until the end.. When we had no air, I went through and cleaned the whole cottage and made it a lot cleaner than what it was when we got there. When I told Catherine that I cleaned the cottage, all she could ask was are you leaving today talking about leaving a day early. We had to waste the whole day sitting on the porch waiting so I packed our things a day early as well, so we paid for that extra day for nothing but a heatstroke...we couldn't leave because it's a 7 hour drive from where we live or we would have Our recommendation to anyone that vacations at North Myrtle, find another cottage than this one...VRBO has a lot of nice places in that area...I have used them for years & will continue....

I am an active duty Army Officer and Veteran with three overseas combat tours, and Kathryn is a fantastic Professor of Anatomy and Physiology for a local community college.
Kathryn and I completed all of the renovations ourselves! We completely tore off the front of the house and installed Board and Batton with a fresh coat of paint. All new plumbing, tile, countertops, sinks, furniture, interior color, appliances, including Mini-split AC and Heat, Gas Water Heater for endless hot water for the Entire Family! The original hardwood floors from 1957 are in fantastic condition! Our goal was to keep the original 50's beach charm and update it with modern appliances and furniture. We love our Beach Cottages and know you will too!
