This room is as clean and as pristine as it looks in the the online pictures (stayed 12/2025) and was clean as a whistle. It was also very quiet which was a huge and pleasant surprise b/c it is near a major freeway. Cute, small neighborhood. It is very convenient in terms of getting around and is an easy drive to lots of amenities. The owner/proprieter was easy to communicate with.

Beautiful, peaceful, thoughtful, comfortable! Easy parking and short walk to first level suite. Private! Well-stocked and communication was fantastic- a real comfort to be able to expect this whenever staying in Bakersfield.

Comfortable room

I enjoyed my 4 night stay , the room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Barb thought of everything a traveler may need. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, nicer than home! I loved the throw blanket when I was reading on the bed. The entrance was secure and I felt safe at night. Communication with Barb was great and she is very responsive. I will definitely stay at this VRBO next time I’m in Bakersfield.

Perfect for stop-over stay!

Newly remodeled small private room/entrance/bathroom...self-contained. Everything is brand new, clean and decorated nicely; the bed is quite comfortable. Fridge and microwave work for small meals; coffee and tea and popcorn provided as well! The bed is perhaps not fit for elderly or disabled people as it is stylishly high and you have to use a step stool to ascend easily. On ground level too so very convenient. Host was wonderfully considerate and communicative:)

This is a smallish single bedroom. I was alone, and it was perfect for 1 person although 2 people would certainly be comfortable in it. It was absolutely spotless and complete - bathroom, very nice TV, ceiling fan, sink, refrigerator, coffee maker and supplies. I checked area hotels which were quite expensive if they were of the same quality. The amenities of a luxury hotel don't matter to me. I expect to visit Bakersfield annually and will definitely book it next year.

Convenient and Classy

This little suite is an oasis on my long drives to S. cal. Barb is always prompt in returning messages within a minute or less, to resolve any questions. The room is beautiful, cheery and peaceful.; vwry thoughtfully furnished. I also have the Scripture messages/ art to be an encouragement during a currently stressful and difficult time of bereavement and loneliness in my lie and the task of driving alone. This will always be my stopping point when available- it is a comfort to have a pleasant and safe place to stay in an unfamiliar town. 5 stars!!!

My name is Barb, I am a full time VRBO hostess, and I love it! I live on the property; but you might not ever see me as I have converted my home to private suites, with their own outdoor entrances, and because I am an avid cyclist enjoying some of the finest road bike and mountain bike trails in North America, right here in Bakersfield!

I am a retired executive assistant and school teacher with 9 grandchildren and travel the country visiting each of them, and learning along the way what really makes a home away from home.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

I have been short and long term renting my home, my guest house and two suites since 2016. My home was recently renovated in 2021 to better accommodate travelers and executive stays.

In this Queen suite you will enjoy the beautiful new sliding doors with adjustable inset blinds with private a patio view. The setting is ultra private, clean, and quiet.

The suite has one separate entrance and exit to the outdoors. The bedroom includes a luxurious and supportive queen bed that gives me nothing but complements. I use soft sheets and high quality pillows and linens. The suite has an abundance of extra blankets and pillows. There is room for a floor mattress for an extra guest if needed and I do have a full size crib and a pac 'n play as well if needed. You will find a mini fridge, Coffee maker microwave setup in the kitchenette with bottled water and snacks. You have a small but functional closet with ironing board and iron as well as a full size mirror, and two separate desk areas.

The bathroom is in your suite, it is also private and opens up behind a sliding barn door. You will enjoy plenty of towels and spa like amenities.

I hope to make your stay as lovely and comfortable as possible. I am always accessible; i answer my calls, texts and emails from VRBO patrons immediately.
