This completely remodeled mountain top studio condo located on the third floor is considered ski-in with a short walk-out and features room for 3 adults, a fully-stocked kitchen, a cozy fireplace, a personal ski locker, an A/C wall unit, and reserved parking. Conveniently located in the Sherpa complex, you can walk to all that Whitefish Mountain Village has to offer including the local's favorite, the Bierstube, or casual dining at Ed & Mully's, shopping, and a convenience store. Whitefish Mountain Escape is the perfect home-base for your Whitefish adventure!

This home is great for couples, friends, or small families looking for adventure or just a relaxing weekend. Cozy up by the fireplace in the living room on chilly nights after a long day on the slopes or hiking the nearby trails. Just 4 miles away from Downtown Whitefish, you'll want to make sure you enjoy the great restaurants and shopping!

In the winter, downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort provides 3,000+ skiable acres, 14 lifts with terrain for all skill levels and stunning views. The resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! There are plenty of other winter activities from snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing and more. Our “stay” was an awful experience from the second we arrived. We had to stop at an offsite location 7 miles from the cabin to pick up the key (who doesn’t have keyless entry these days?). It was the middle of the night after our train arrived. The key was not in the lockbox. The after hour assistance was basically no help at all- All while our uber driver had to wait for us. We had to get a hotel since we were told the key wouldn’t be found until the morning. The following morning, the directions we were given took us two blocks from the vrbo. It wasn’t ski in/out at all and was still an awful long walk to the base lodge. Finding which unit was ours was still an absolute disaster with little to no directions. We ended up having to spend hundreds of dollars to make up for their mistakes. The money they are refunding doesn’t replace what we had to spend to make up for their mistakes. Much less the added stress when we’re supposed to be on vacation. To Sum it up, I’ve stayed in countless rentals and this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! Condo was perfect size for two people with a great little kitchen for quick meals. Quiet location & convenient parking. Exactly what we had hoped for & we'll be back next year for Under The Big Sky festival!

Cozy Getaway

This is an ideal location for a couple traveling in the Whitefish area. It was cute and cozy location. It had everything we needed. You do need to navigate three flights of stairs with your luggage however to get to your apartment so plan accordingly. Highly recommended!

Mountain top studio

Cute little condo at the top of the mountain. Comfy bed, good shower. That’s what we were looking for, and got. Owners checked to see if everything was okay several times and offered to correct any deficiencies, but everything was fine. We enjoyed the stay.

Whitefish winter ski holiday

Located close to the village in the mountain resort, perfect location if you want to be close to the skiing activity! Be sure to get the garage door code in advance because this is the only way to get into and access the property. Upon arrival, we had to call the 1-888 number when we arrived since the only parking spot for this property is outside versus in the underground parking …and the only way to get in is by entering the garage pad code! 😁

Disappointing stay

Overall the building is quite dated and definitely needs renovation. Access to this apartment is only through the garage even though you have to park outside. Lots of narrow stairs to the third floor to bring in your luggage. As far as we know this is the only apartment in the building that has no access to laundry room or the pool. Also, you need to read the listing carefully, as the apartment has no dishwasher. Ski locker was supposed to be included but the lock was broken. We contacted management several times regarding that issue but the issue was not resolved leaving us without the locker for the entire seven day stay. As far as location is concerned it is listed as ski in/ski out, but it is neither. More appropriate term for this location is walk to and from the runs. Another issue was that closets were full of all kinds of items not giving much room for us in this rather small place. Overall not a place that we would come back to or recommend to friends.

Shabby

The building this property is in is old, and badly in need of renovation. Even cleaning the carpet would help a lot. The unit is a third floor walk up. The unit itself is shabby and poorly renovated. It reminded me of someone’s basement; the place where you put all the things you no longer deem fit for your usual living space. The couch sags badly, the sofa bed mattress is thin and uncomfortable. The linens were old and pilled. TV didn’t work and required a reset. Flooring is poorly installed, paint is peeling from cupboard doors and there were burned out bulbs and odd bulbs in the light fixtures. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as one would have hoped. Parking for this unit is outside. It’s the only unit without indoor parking. Entry is through the garage door. There is no outside space associated with this unit. For two of the three days we were there there was roofing repairs ongoing, which forced us to leave the property to avoid the noise. There are lots of lovely options in Whitefish. Sadly this property is not one of them
