Great spot for weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Seas the Day. The location was great, walking distance to the beach and grocery store was very convenient, and also a quick drive to Southport. We loved spending time at the pool as well and the house was the perfect size for our 14 person group. We had a bit of a set back checking in because the keypad battery was dead, and there was an instance of an outside vendor performing maintenance (changing inside air filters), but the host/maintenance was quick to respond to the door issue and they were also very receptive to our concerns with the air filter crew. The overall cleanliness was acceptable, we noticed a few crumbs in the living area upon our arrival, but other than that no complaints. Overall we had a great stay in Oak Island and hope to come back again in the future!

70s Vibe Beach Vacation

Oak Island had a laid back, slow down, old fashioned feel. No high rise condos, no neon billboards, lots of local shops to support the local economy. This house was a pretty good fit for our family of 9. Downsides: definitely not as clean as it could have been (clump of hair behind the trash can in kitchen, crumbs behind the coffee makers, dirty backsplash behind stove, couch pillows filthy), sheets in packets on beds so no made up beds, tiny rough towels, no separate space for kids like a game room, no shade around the pool, you have to weave in and out of the inside and outside of the house to get to the various decks, Publix grocery store is right across the street (front of house) so it’s bright at night from all their parking lot lights and very noisy early on some mornings when delivery trucks are unloading. Upsides: easy walk to the beach, you could hear the ocean from the back deck and see glimpses of it between the houses, pool warms up beautifully from the sun, nice outside shower and hose to get all the sand off, beach isn’t too crowded, and lastly the management company was awesome! We had a couple minor issues and they were there almost immediately to deal with everything! I’d rent from Better Beach Rentals again but probably not this particular property.

Good place

Great location and lots of room for family over Thanksgiving. Couldn’t find directions on how to heat the pool, so that was a disappointment. Other than that a great place!

Celebrate retirement and family

This property was excellent. Entire family enjoyed the location the property and the pool. I would recommend this property to anyone and we’re considering booking it again next year!
