We were so excited about this property. We rented it to host thanksgiving weekend, as we have family in the area. We informed the host of our plans. They reached out prior to check in to confirm how many people would be staying. As our family lives down the street, we did not include the local family in our number. This was an issue, as the hosts watch the outside cameras seemingly nonstop. We received multiple messages daily about family at the property through the stay. At no point did we exceed the number that the house can sleep. If family came over to eat leftovers, we received messages. It was very intrusive. The hosts confirmed we had told them we were hosting a holiday weekend and it would be ok, then they charged us more at check out. If you plan to use this property to visit friends or family in the area, this may not be the property for you.We found the kitchen looked great, but lacked sufficient cookware and implements. For example the house has a 12 burner duel cooktop, however the home only had 3 pans. We had to run to family nearby to get enough to cook our Thanksgiving meal. If you plan to cook, consider bringing your own kitchenware. The firepit outside and arcade were great. Overall, the hosts are close to having a great property but just not quite there. We spend over 150 nights a year in rentals and have never encountered a host that monitors use of the property constantly. We will not stay again.

The home was Beautiful with all upgraded appliances, bathroom facilities & comfortable beds. We enjoyed the hot tub on the side porch. The backyard amenities were very nice.We also enjoyed the main level game room while family was preparing meals. WiFi worked great & nice TV in many locations It was very close for the wedding venue our families attended. We would return to this property again.

Weekend Getaway

The property is really nice both indoor and out - it's great for group fun for both kids and adults. There's not much to do within a short drive, but if you're just looking to getaway we'd highly recommend it!

A hidden gem

This property is definitely a hidden gem. The property was very clean and beautiful. The finishes were high end. Everything we could possibly need was furnished. There was more than enough room for us.The carriage house for our event was as beautiful as the house.I would definitely rent both again.

Weekend Getaway

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at this property! The house was spotless and clearly very well maintained—everything felt fresh, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared. The amenities included went above and beyond our expectations and made our stay even more enjoyable. It was the perfect space for a relaxing trip with friends, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for rehearsal dinner!!

I contacted Sandy through VRBO in hopes to have my son's rehearsal dinner at Sugar Maple Inn. She was more than happy to make this a perfect place for our family and friends! Let me tell you, it was PERFECT! She had tables set up outside for our guests and allowed us to come a little earlier for set up. The outdoor building was great for our caterers. I HIGHLY recommend Bernardi's for there amazing food. There were so many compliments on the Sugar Maple Inn and catering. It was a great place for the kids to hang out in the yard or play bags. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit, the outdoor lighting, and the beautiful ivy. It truly felt like we were in an intimate resort, not a back yard! All the other amenities in the home were absolutely appreciated as well. Wish had more time to enjoy the house a little more. But unfortunately we were busy with the wedding. I promise you will not be disappointed if you book with Sandy!

Girls Trip

Our stay at the Sugar Maple Inn was amazing! The house was so cozy and decorated beautifully!! We enjoyed every part of the house. Spent a lot of time in the beautiful backyard and played a lot of games in big room in the back of the house. I would definitely come back and stay here and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice little get away!

Absolutely a lovely place

Property was beautiful! Very clean and modernized! Very spacious. Would definitely recommend this place! Will be renting it for next year! Owner showed up at check in to help us park the boats and was very helpful at giving us a tour to show us how everything works in the house!

Wonderful stay in Tiskilwa

We had an another amazing stay here with my wife’s family. It’s an unbelievable layout with plenty of room to enjoy. The finishes, luxuries, and details of the house are truly magical. Location wise, the house is walking distance to a park and our favorite breakfast spot!

Family Birthday Getaway

We were in the area for a family birthday celebration. Four couples shared the house, which meant two couples shared the bedroom with two double beds. The bunk room and trundle bed would be best used by kiddos or people who are willing to share close quarters. Would be great for families with children. The property was immaculately clean and has top-end appliances. The outdoor space is just amazing! We used the hot tub, gas fire pit, outdoor half bath/shower and front porch. Some of our group played pinball (the ceiling in basement is pretty low). It would be a great place to host a party, but be aware you would need to get approval and event insurance to have non-guests on the property. It is easy to drive into Princeton or out to Lake Thunderbird (where our family gathering took place). Tiskilwa is a friendly little town.

Amazing inn in a small town

My friends and I were in the area for a wedding and couldn't be happier to have found the sugar maple inn. The amenities were all great, I wish we had more opportunities to use them due to our short stay. The host was very responsive, would recommend to anyone staying in the area!

An incredible stay in the quaint town of Tiskilwa!

My family and I travel to Tiskilwa a couple of times each year. The Sugar Maple Inn not only was the perfect size to accommodate my family, but also my mother-in-law, and brother-in-law’s as well. The kids loved the arcade as well as sitting by the campfire at night. We walked down to the local restaurants for lunch and dinner. It was a wonderful feeling coming back to the inn each night as opposed to a hotel. The amenities were top-notch. It really was like staying in a resort in the heart of Tiskilwa! We already booked our next trip back! Oh, and the hosts were very kind and responsive. Highly recommend.

Country Charm

This is a beautiful home with many amenities. We will definitely be back to stay when attending family reunions. We all loved it and had a wonderful time. We did S'mores on the fire pit and listened to the sounds of nature. It was serene and peaceful.
