What a wonderful retreat in Schoenchen! Nick was a fantastic host and his place was everything we could have asked for in a stay. Clean and organized. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to be in the Hays, KS area and would love some peace and quiet. I will definitely be booking again the next time we are meeting up with family. This house is a wonderful alternative to the hotels in the Hays area. It was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our brief stay and had everything we needed. The home is situated on a beautiful farm and is the home to the sweetest pup who immediately came to say hello and play. At night it was dark and very quiet and was so nice. I highly recommend it.

This place was perfect for us to celebrate our daughter in laws graduation from FHSU. It was nice and quiet but still just a quick drive into Hays. We would stay again!

hunting trip

We enjoyed our stay the rooms where clean. We had plenty of room and the hospitality was great .Nick took time out of his day to show us the land and gave us tips where to hunt. would highly recommend this place.

Great House and Even Better Owners

My friends and I booked this place for our yearly hunting trip to the area. Katie and Nick are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and made us feel like family during our stay and the hospitality was top notch. My group will be staying here every year from now on and we’re all ready looking forward to next year!
