Beauty by the bay

A lovely property with spectacular views, exactly as shown in the pictures. A few small glitches (e.g. master bedroom TV not working) but overall a good experience. One small note - sound travels easily throughout the house, so if you have loud kids or guests, you may not be able to escape the noise.

The perfect get away

This is a lovely, big house situated close to the water. The views are magnificent and there are many great bedrooms. The house is an ample size with many features both upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen is modern with a wide variety of supplies. You are only given one set of towels per person and so I would recommend extra towels, especially for the hot tub or beach. The neighborhood was quiet and we had a delightful time.

Meaford

It would be nice to have more dish cloths and tea towels and washcloths. Also none of the bathroom fans seemed to work. Thur. afternoon they came to mow the lawn so we had to move all our stuff...take our badminton net down. We thought they could have come on the Friday when we left. Hopefully you respond to me on this as it is just a few hints that would make other stay better.

Overall good property, but terrible neighbour.

We had a family trip here and we’re excited to get away and have a change of scenery. It was four adults and two children (under 6). A few of us had to work through the week and when we showed up we were only informed the day of that there was no internet or cable from a incident the week prior. Immediately this left a bad impression. We went from Sunday-Thursday with no internet/wifi so that was one issue. The neighbour directly beside the unit is awful - we had noise complaints and cops call on us at 7pm and 6:30pm (the 6:30pm call was also on a Saturday). The music was not loud - we could hardly hear at the dock. The other neighbour which is a bit more spaced out from us never had an issue or problem, or anyone else around for that matter. We have young boys who were out playing and a mix of that and our music they did not like the fact we were disturbing their quiet. Although they tried to ruin our holidays property management granted us a complimentary night which was appreciated. Needless to say, if you have young kids and are looking to play music at of any sort outside beware you likely will get called on from your unpleasant neighbour.

We're so sorry about the wifi -the connection has since been repaired by the town, and we should have been more proactive in our communication. We approached the neighbour and had a discussion, and are glad to say that things are improving.

Too many big spiders

What affected our stay was Big large spiders everywhere outside on the balcony, around the hot tub, chairs. Even though the location is nice and the inside is clean, we could not use the outside balcony or patio because of how many large spiders there were all over the windows, doors, ledges, on the chairs and under the tables, even from the chairs to balcony rail. It just made it unpleasant to sit outside and enjoy the view. Everyone wanted to stay away, you could be walking and walk into a web. The hot tub is placed in an area that is not appetizing at all, very closterphobic and large spiders and webs around the hot tub and on the steps of the hot tub. This made it that if you open the lid, it's scary to close it cuz you would have to walk between the hot tub and the basement wall which has spiders and webs everywhere. We asked property manager to send someone to clean it, they were responsive and said they would. But unfortunately we didn't even notice the difference. Even under the patio table bunch of spiders. There were some stains to the left of the toilet on the master bedroom. And the two beds in the basement were uncomfortable and old that the family that got those beds decided to sleep on the sofa. It's too bad because location is nice and the inside is furnished nicely. But your also paying for this property hoping to use the balcony and hot tub but you can't unless you are not afraid of spiders and don't mind walking into them or having them crawl on you.

Such an Amazing Stay

We had such an amazing vacation and can't thank Dave and his team enough. From one of the best vantage points of Georgian Bay that we have ever experienced to the short walk to amazing restaurants in downtown Meaford, this property is simply magical. We can't wait to stay here again in the future. Thank you once again for such a memorable time.
