Centrally located spacious home near Elk Mountain

The Hidden Gem is centrally located in the village of Clifford, PA. Close to the city of Scranton and the PA Endless Mountains. Take part in skiing, hiking and biking, and shopping, exploring and dining at some of our favorite local spots! Enjoy our 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, eat in kitchen, large living room with Roku tv + Netflix, yard with natural fire pit and deck for lots of outdoor lounging and activity. Come spend some time unwinding and unplugging with family, friends and your furry loved one all year long. Guests can enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine from our favorite local winery, coffee, tea and sugar.

The stay was absolutely awesome. I had to come up earlier due to a family emergency and Gina was able to accommodate and not only that but went above and beyond for out family. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything one would need away from home. I homeschool my children and the wifi connection was very good.The nook was a favorite place of everyone to sit, relax, read a book, watch out the window especially since it and kids loved that part. Also, the electric fireplace made it cozy. It was a great location as well, we had places we could walk to and the town was very quiet, safe, and friendly people everywhere. Overall, a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend to all who visit this beautiful area of Pennsylvania.

Perfect Ski Weeken

My husband and I rented this place for a short ski weekend. It was very clean and the owner was quick to answer any questions. This is the perfect location with only a quick drive to elk mountain for a great ski day.

Well priced for being close to Elk Ski Resort

Nice and perfect for a couple people that wanna ski. Would be nice to have access to a washer and dryer after skiing all day for a couple days but not a huge deal. Nice quaint little place that filled our needs.

weekend trip to ski at Elk

The house was really well appointed, cute, clean and comfortable. The owner was extremely responsive to questions. The location was less than 15 minutes from Elk Ski resort, which was great. It was a very comfortable stay.

It is really a hidden gem!

Nice Christmas Away

This place is very cute and the host even had a Christmas tree set up. Lots of extras and supplies in kitchen. It was extremely cold and had a small issue but my husband was able to fix before the owner could even come over.

My husband and I planed a last minute get away for our anniversary and came across this place. The hosts were very responsive and informative with the questions I had. Good home base for making connections

An older home that is clean and ready for guests. We needed a place located between Binghamton and Clarks Summit, and this place in Clifford fit the bill. Gina was timely in her communication and we were glad for the place to stay.

34th Wedding Anniversary

The house was spacious but didn't realize that it was so close to the road which kinda made it hard to sleep or rest and we did try the diner(Elk) not bad for breakfast huge I mean LARGE Pancake very nice little diner also tried pizza place down the street very friendly staff great chicken fingers and fries also remote wouldn't work so found easy way for volume change from back of TV but all in all great getaway place for short trips..

Hi! We are your hosts Gina, Brett and our dog Luna. We started out hosting journey to bring people to Northeast, Pa and introduce them to some local favorites during their stay in October of 2021. We appreciate each guest and enjoy learning about what brings them to Clifford, PA and any ways we can always be improving their stay at the Hidden Gem. We enjoy adding small touches to make our home feel like your own while connecting with small businesses in our community. We love to fuss over the Gem and Luna enjoys coming along to run around in the backyard and occasionally make herself comfortable on the couch!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The name says it is all. We chose this house because it truly was a Hidden Gem in the quaint village of Clifford, PA. We set out looking for a local home that guests can enjoy all year round and that is exactly what we found. We enjoy the firepit just about all year round. The fall is prime time to appreciate the foliage and local orchards and pumpkin patches. Winter is excellent for skiing at Elk or Montage Mountain or cozying up and cooking a home cooked meal in our kitchen with family and friends over the holidays. Spring is a great time to get out on the D&H Rail Trail with your bikes and get a tour of a local maple syrup farm. Enjoy a coffee on the deck in the summer time and explore the lakes and trails nearby along with the beautiful wedding venues such as Takash's Grove and the Farm at Cottrell Lake. Ultimately we chose this home to update because we saw it's potential and fell in love with giving it a new story. We instantly felt comfortable and wanted our friends and family to enjoy it too! We hope you feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed when you stay at the Hidden Gem.
