This is an awesome oasis in Paonia with everything you need nearby! Catalpa Cottage is a beautiful 1-bedroom, 1 bathroom newly renovated cottage with awesome views! A private space, with easy access to the deck from both the kitchen and bedroom. A fire pit area to relax and watch the sun go down and enjoy the dark skies of Paonia. Easy access, and a 10 minute walk, to Grand Avenue.

Great shower, nice kitchen. Pretty mountain view and nice outdoor area. Quiet neighborhood with easy walk to groceries, shops, and restaurants. We were lucky enough to see an amazing display of stars and even a few meteors.

The property was everything and more that we could have hoped for. It's extremely clean and very spacious for a one bedroom. It's so close to downtown Paonia. We were able to walk downtown and take the free bus to Big B's for the concerts.

Beautiful cottage

This is a beautiful cottage in a cool little town. Susan was a very accommodating host. My only warning is that if you absolutely need WiFi, it’s very spotty and cell reception is not good. But if you are looking to unplug, this is a great retreat!

Glad you enjoyed Paonia and the Cottage and thanks for the feedback ~it is appreciated. We do have Elevate Fiber which is normally fast and reliable. We will look into why you had spotty service. This is a rural area ~ T-Mobile service is very good in the town and valley. Unplugging is great, but we want to offer our guests, as much as we can, good internet and cell service too! Thanks!

Wonderful cottage

Catulpa Cottage is a hidden treasure. It was just perfect as a home base for us for our hiking adventures off Kebler Pass. Mornings on the deck and evenings by the fire pit capped our days. Visits to nearby wineries and breweries were an added treat. The Cottage is well furnished and had everything we needed. It was very functional as well....with a spacious kitchen and bathroom and plenty of room for all of our gear.

Wonderful cottage, Great location!

We loved everything about this cottage. It was so thoughtfully decorated with great attention to detail, and had everything you could possibly need to be comfortable and feel at home. Beautiful, updated, clean bathroom and kitchen. The bedroom is perfect with nice windows and big comfy bed! Even though we did not cook in the kitchen, there was everything you would need to make a meal. I especially loved the interior wooden doors. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck at night and viewing all the stars. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! It was probably one of the nicest VRBO's we have ever stayed in.

Easy check-in with immediate access to owners if needed. The cottage was immaculate and charming. Fully equipped kitchen. LP vinyl albums, internet and roku for streaming. Loved the framed album covers.We are backgammon players and were delighted to play on a brand new backgammon board. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Lovely deck. It was perfect for us -- a senior couple.Surprised about the quality of CO wine!

A wonderful place!

Catalpa Cottage is a great place to stay in the North Fork area--much nicer than a hotel room. The cottage is completely renovated and tastefully appointed with everything you might need while away from home, including a full kitchen, deck, fire pit, and even a record player and a nostalgic collection of LPs (young people ask your parents what those last two things are!). Susan is a great host--super responsive and accommodating. Definitely worth returning to!

Return to Catalpa Cottage

We stayed at the Catalpa Cottage Cottage two years ago and loved everything about the Cottage and Paonia. We returned this year to visit a friend and to enjoy the town and surroundings. The cottage is sweet, inviting and very comfortable, is nicely decorated with a comfy bed, has a gourmet kitchen and had a beautiful shaded deck. Its location is semi rural with a view of nearby hills, yet just a couple of blocks from downtown. We eagerly anticipated our return this year and can't wait to return to the Catalpa Cottage. Beautiful area

I enjoyed my stay at Catalpa Cottage. Very nice backyard. House has everything you need and very clean. Couple things I would like to add that are not in description. House does have TV. Outdoor firepit is propane. Don't want anybody else loading up on wood like I did to find out it is gas. Lol

Hidden gem cottage

This property was a pleasant surprise. Much nicer than the pictures indicated. Every amenity was provided. The bedroom and bath were spacious and well appointed. An additional plus was that all natural cleaners were used. The kitchen was fabulous even though we had difficulty with operating the cooktop and had to call the owner for assistance. She came over promptly and reset the breaker. The only negative was the sofa and love seat were very soft for us two seniors with back problems. ! We would definitely stay here again

Comfortable and Peaceful!

The cottage has everything one needs for comfort and convenience. It's better than it appears in the listing and should probably cost more. There is space to leave your things in the entry, a full kitchen, many options for seating in lounge/kitchen area, the bed is comfortable with white, cotton sheets and a variety of pillows to choose from, roomy bathroom, shower and vanity countertop and deck seating. Plus, everything was thoroughly cleaned (rather than just sheets changed and surfaces wiped like many places). Susan was welcoming and left coffee beans, a small pitcher of milk in fridge, and peaches and tomatoes on the counter. She offered activity suggestions on a rainy day and always responds quickly to emails. We walked to the park and downtown from the cottage. We would return here. It was so relaxing and really nice!
