Located near the end of the street, set-back away from neighbors for privacy, this bright and airy 4 bedroom 3 bath "nest" in the woods is located just off the 8th tee box of Lake Almanor West Golf Course! Enjoy the best of mountain life surrounded with redwoods by cooking a BBQ dinner on the smoker and visiting with family and friends on the private raised deck just off the kitchen and living room. The season doesn't matter! Don't worry about hauling in wood for heat or a stove, flip a switch and cozy up with a good book next to the gas fireplace and central heat. Grandma doesn't need to climb any stairs as the first floor has a spacious bedroom with closet and full batch/shower across the hall! Upstairs, the massive master suite has a CA king size bed, walk in finished closet and sunken tub! Two additional guest rooms are found opposite the Master, one with a queen and another with a queen/twin bunk bed. There is plenty of space for a boat and guest parking in the lighted/paved relatively flat driveway. Make this your annual place to stay and get-away!

Peaceful Retreat!

Omg, this property was beautiful and the surrounding neighborhood was peaceful and full of green grass from the golf course with tall Redwood trees. Very close to the lake and the boat launch was super close which made boating a breeze. Sandy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was kind and helpful and great with communication and being a wonderful host. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this property!

Relaxing retreat

Perfect for our family get away. Very spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the large family room for spending quality time with the family, plenty of seating and very large TV. Beautiful location on the golf course and close to lake. We will plan to stay again.

Wonderful Neighborhood!

We loved our stay at the Golf Nest! It was perfect for all ages of our children in a safe neighborhood. We could easily walk to the park on the lake and clubhouse for lunch! Our host was great, and the house had more than everything we could need for our stay!

Awesome getaway place!

We had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend in this home! There was snow on the ground from the past week’s snow storm and the family was so glad that we’re able to play with the fur babies on ice! The cabin is so cozy and we had everything we needed in it. The entire home has so much room and we especially enjoyed the amenities, pet-friendliness, and location of the place. We hope to visit again soon!

Property was clean enough and owner communication was good, however there were issues with the stove top flame not being hi enough to boil water, basement room sink drains were clogged, king bed in basement has huge sag in the center and was unusable. Route to basement is dirt and needs better lighting. Master shower head pipe was loose in the wall and feels like it'll break off. Despite the issues the nine people that stayed for four days we still had a good time at the property.

Upstairs toilet is leaking. Its not cool that we can't recycle. But overall a great weekend. The downstairs room is too cold and no one stayed down there.

Sorry to just now see this! Apparently a kids toy made it into one toilet 🚽and the flapper needed to be replaced in the other one! Both are fully operational and working great again now. Can’t fix the county recycling situation… but I can consider a bin just for bottles and cans and guests are welcome to haul them home and recycles there. Thank you for your concern over the environment and inspiring the idea. 💡

Beautiful home, but no Air Conditioning :(

We loved the access to the boat dock and the fun activities at the rec center. We even watched the fireworks from the beach! The house was well-stocked and we had 3 generations who enjoyed the stay. The problem was that while it was 110 in the valley, it was over 100 at Almanor and the house became VERY hot and it was difficult to sleep until the temps dropped in the middle of the night. (There were box fans in each room, but it was still very warm.) We all ended up leaving early :(

Family vacation

We confirmed the property had wifi before going. The wifi was broken until the last 24 hours of our trip. The host tried to get it working but was at the mercy of the provider. Several of our family members had to leave due to not being able to work from the wifi being down. The fifth bedroom was not advertised as being separate from the main house.

Lake Almanor fun

We loved our time there. It was a great setup for our family. There was great parking for our boat and cars. It is set right amongst beautiful trees on the golf course. The boat dock and access to it were awesome. We loved the tennis/pickle ball courts that were near too. We made great memories and had lots of fun.

This home is very spacious and worked well for our family of 10. Beautiful great room with lots of seating and huge tv which the grandsons loved! Dinners on the patio with views of the golf course made for lovely evenings. Beds were very comfortable, which is always a plus. Thank you, Sandy!
