WINTER GETAWAY!! Cabin In The Woods is a beautiful home located about 19 miles outside of Munising. It is situated right off of Highway 13 in a beautiful, wooded area close to Indian River, and hiking trails such as Bruno's Run. If you enjoy fishing, there are many inland lakes located along H-13. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 on the main level and 2 upstairs, with one bed located in each room plus a Queen Bed in the loft/shared space. Additional sleeping is located in the basement (5th room), 2 bunk bed sets (one has 3 twin beds) and a double bed plus a futon bed. The basement also includes a foosball, Air Hockey and a pool table, as well as a smart TV. The 2 full bathrooms are on the main level. This is a family friendly home that anyone can enjoy. Spend time barbecuing or just enjoying each other’s company out on the back deck listening to birds and Mother Nature at its finest. Trail 7 is accessible from the cabin and there is enough parking for 3-4 trailers depending on size, please contact us to confirm before booking.

The place has plenty of room for trailers and snowmobiles which was awesome for us. It's a good distance from town without being too far, and we loved being right on trail 7.

Great stay! Beds were a bit smaller than anticipated but with the general assumption this is typically used as a hunting or snowmobiling cabin we made it work. Cute cabin decor, great back porch and firepit for socializi g. Awesome showers, great water pressure. Living room space could use a wall-mounted TV but mainly because we wanted to share pictures- otherwise we were fine without it (a few guests had mobility issues that prevented us from sharing downstairs). Would be great if it had a dishwasher but "roughing it" by hand-washing added to the charm (lol). Worked perfect for our needs this week! Would stay again!

Nice place off the beaten path

Very nice place, loved the rustic vibes! Beds were a little rough and the downstairs definitely needs a better baby gate, we were traveling with a 1 yr old. Over all we would stay here again! Loved the general store right down the road!!

Perfect location

We came to trail ride. This property is in a perfect location. We rode to miners castle, Manistique, and Grand Marais and were able to access all the trails needed to get there.

Pictures Rocks House

My family of 5 and a friend’s family of 4 stayed at the house for a few days. It was a great space for the 9 of us. The kids loved the pool table, air hockey table and foosball. It was about a 20/30 minute drive to all the sightseeing we wanted to do which was also great. I would recommend this house to families, especially families traveling together.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin was perfect for our large group of snowmobilers. Set up very well to accommodate all of us and right off the trail. We spent most of our time on the trails, but loved having the game room in the evenings. The cabin provided everything we needed and we appreciated being able to get trail passes right down the road at the general store.. we even arrived ten minutes after they closed and they were happy to accommodate. Highly Recommend and everyone in the group said they would stay here again!

Not Bad!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was decent. It was clean and easy to access. Kitchen was stocked with all tools needed, the sink is comedically shallow. One of the showers was not working which was inconvenient for our group. The layout didn't feel totally comfortable for "hanging out", basement was more cramped than we expected. Otherwise it was fine for what it was. Location was nice for accessing all of our hiking and activities.

Great Stay!!

This was my first time staying in a cabin in the U.P. This cabin was great for my family. Outside could be a little cleaner and tidier, not because of trash or anything, but because it is surrounded by trees everything seems a bit overgrown and not open. Plus some type of cooling system would've been great as the cabin can get pretty hot inside. But overall the family and I enjoyed it. P.S. no amount of bug repellent or candles can keep the flies away. The flies there are of something else!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was as we expected and there were no unpleasant surprises. This place plays out very nicely for a larger group. We had seven in our party and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was ideal for our needs. The only exception was the condition of the gas grill (it's pretty old, very rickety and there was no propane tank provided). The beds could be a little more comfortable, but overall we enjoyed our stay here very much and will probably book this place again in the future.

CITW Trip Report 02-15-23

Group of 7 adults stayed to go snowmobiling in the area. While snow conditions were not awesome, we were able to ride south and get out of the congestion of the greater Munising area. We thought the location of cabin was excellent as there were not many riders in the area, probably because there are really no bars/eateries on the loop that includes trails 7 and 411. House was as advertised, keep in mind that sleeping totals listed count for two people in Queen/twin beds, would be tight for full size adults. We had 7 adults and everyone had a bed. Cabin has some nice interior finishes with lots of barn wood displayed. Kitchen had plenty of pots/pans and accessories, only thing we could not find was a cheese grater!! One bonus was the Midway General store which was within walking distance from the cabin. Great variety of items for being out of town! We would stay here again if in the area!!

Nice location, cabin was okay.

Perfect location if you want to spend time at both Lake Michigan and Superior. The cabin was just okay, the two queen beds are really old and need replaced. There is no dishwasher and the sink is shallow and the faucet leaks. We had trouble getting the door to lock. Bathroom door needs fixed
it sticks and we smashed our faces into it several times. TV in loft didn’t work. DVDs only play in black and white with bad audio. The pots and pans are all Teflon that is scratched and flaking off. The cabin could be really nice with some updating and upkeep. We did have a really nice time on our vacation though.

We were pleasantly surprised by this cozy house in the woods. It was actually nicer in person than in the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with most everything we needed. There were 14 in our party but it didn't feel too crowded. The house was clean. The game room in the basement was fun. We would definitely stay here again.

We went to Marquette one day and Munising another day. We loved coming back to the house to unwind after a day of fun adventures. The kids loved the air hockey and pool tables. The host gave very good details to help find the house. Cell service is not great but the WiFi worked perfect. We would definitely recommend!
