Great location, very peaceful and quiet. Booked on VRBO with confirmation of check in after 4pm. Arrived at 7:30pm to a surprised host. Be sure to send emails or messages since they only check the air bb site. After going back to town for an hour while they prepared the space on the fly we finally enjoyed our lovely weekend away!Would certainly stay again

Great woodsy retreat!

We stayed 3 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Castle in the Sky. We saw a show at Red Rocks, visited Golden, Nederland and Boulder. We enjoyed local hikes and had a wonderful visit.

Great spot

Easy access to Golden Gate State park, Nederland, and the nature! The artistic home is very welcoming and warm. Would come again!

Just what I needed...

The hosts were outstandingly gracious and friendly. This was my first visit to Colorado, and I was able to get some rest, catch up on schoolwork, and check out the surrounding areas. This home rental is very cozy and welcoming, with a full kitchen, and comfortable accommodations. I cooked delicious meals every day and enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

The Castle in the Clouds

The house was so cozy and homey, we loved all of the personal art done by the host. The view from the back porch was beautiful and we loved the secluded location. The host was great about advising us of weather and quick to respond to any questions we had. We really appreciated that snow shoveling was done for walkways and driveways. The house was clean and 420 friendly which was surprisingly hard to find in a legal state. Excellent stay, highly recommend!

Peaceful and private

We really enjoyed our 6 nights here. Very peaceful. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck and soaking up nature. The hosts were very nice and we loved getting to pet their dog Charlie. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Lots of attractions and small villages within 30-45 minute drive. Also, potentially the most 420 friendly booking I’ve made this far. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice little retreat

We loved the location and getting away in the mountains. We really appreciated the motion lights when we arrived after dark from our outings. Although the property is advertised as nothing is shared, you are sharing the property with guests staying in the lower level. They don't have access to any of your living area but be aware that if you're expecting privacy outside, there are other potential guests on the property.

The fish was the star!

My girls absolutely loved watching the fish in the fish tank and exploring out back. A nice place to hibernate during a winter storm. Even if the oven was inoperable (probably from a previous guest cooking a turkey? Smoked to much to use.) We still had a nice stay. The tv is big and gets YouTube so we liked that even if we couldn’t watch the broncos game.Loved all the paintings and peaceful setting. Neighbors are near ,but never saw anyone except their dogs. Really cool location way up coal creek canyon. Would have liked to try the tavern down the street, but it is closed mondays and tuesdays so keep that in mind for food.

Worst experience I’ve ever had

To start off, the host has messaged me and asked if they could stop by the morning after we got there which i said no because we were driving 10 hours the day before and wanted to sleep in and rest. We brought our service animals and the host must have had cameras and continued to harass me and calling me a liar saying they were coming over at 7 in the morning. Never had i experienced such an invasion of privacy and lack of respect by a host before like this, we also were never told or was it displayed that there were people staying below us that were loud all night and morning. Do not rent from this person, disrespectful,inconsiderate, does not respect your privacy or stay whatsoever.
