Retreat On Lake Travis is the perfect estate for Corporate Retreats, Family Reunions, memorable vacations and more! The owners have redesigned this gorgeous, spacious home with the comfort and enjoyment of large groups in mind. The home itself sits on 4 acres, 220 ft. of lake front with an additional 2000+ sq. ft. of outdoor entertaining and activity areas. Plenty of parking for 15-20 cars. Has an elevator making luggage or grocery trips a breeze!

LOCATION:
About 35 miles from downtown Austin, “Retreat” on Lake Travis is a waterfront home in the beautiful town of Lago Vista. With close proximity to the city, you have easy access to award-winning restaurants, local Austin nightlife and music scene as well as wine tasting, antiquing and hiking.

HOME AMENITIES:
Two floors with several living quarters, allowing for privacy amongst larger groups and loads of sleeping arrangements for large families. The Open Plan Living, Kitchen & Dining Area open up to a balcony where you can dine al fresco all year long! Full Kitchen includes: stainless steel appliances, range, oven, coffee maker, and two refrigerators. The living room has a beautiful rock fireplace and entertainment center.

INDOOR ENTERTAINING AMENITIES:
The living room has a 60 inch TV with, streaming all your favorite shows. The Master Suite has a 55 inch TV while the gaming room includes 50inch.

OUTDOOR ENTERTAINING AMENITIES:
Property amenities include: infinity edge pool overlooking the lake, fire pit, Pavilion with its own kitchen, fireplace and seating, Pickleball/Basketball/Sand Volleyball Court, Minigolfers range, Adjustable dock …

LAKE TRAVIS:
This area of Lake Travis is great for all water sports. Having your own personal dock makes it easy to enjoy the lake while staying at the home. There is a gentle 6’ slope down to the boat dock. Kayaks & paddle boards available.

There are 16 beds that will accommodate 20-30 people (see schematic).

Friends getaway!

We’re all from Houston and wanted to plan a quick easy trip where we’d still be able to have fun activities, beautiful views and plenty of space for each of us and our kids - Alton’s home was perfect!!! The pool was great and the activities on the river were amazing! Definitely a memorable weekend and would highly recommend staying here. The area is a bit secluded but it gives great privacy and there’s still a few things nearby like groceries and donuts!

Couldn’t Have Loved the Property More

Spent a weekend with some friends at the property. They were already excited about the house based on the listing, but everybody – literally everyone – was blown away when they saw it in person. Beautiful views, great amenities and helpful recommendations for, e.g., where to get food. I don’t know when I’ll be in the area again, but if I am, this will be the first place I look up!

Beautiful scene! So many of our group learned pickle ball! Hot tub was a big draw. Kitchen was super. And thank you for having a Keurig! Patios we’re great. Groups enjoyed sitting, board games and grilling outside. Alexis was a superb hostess!

Great house and amenities

A group of 16 of us had a great stay over Thanksgiving here. The property was fantastic with excellent amenities inside and out. We had dinner outside in front of the outdoor fireplace, played a lot of pickleball, played ping pong, canoed, and sat in the hot tub. Plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommended! Great communication as well when I don’t know how to turn certain outside lights on.

Beautiful property!

The property was perfect for our gathering! Backyard amenities/activities were a lot of fun during the day with the lake and pool nearby to cool down before, during, and after. The house was clean and spacious, plenty of beds for everyone to sleep in. Kitchen and outdoor grill kept everyone fed, and downstairs games provided a good escape from the heat during the day and fun at night. Property Manager/Host were pleasant, answered all questions, and were readily available if anything came up. Would definitely recommend as a retreat destination!

Texas Lake House

House was very nice with a well equipped kitchen. Plenty of sleeping space available with 2 living rooms to hang out. Outside is massive with a pool, basketball court, volleyball court, and the lake. The house is ~45min-60min from Austin but the drive is mostly streets rather than highway. My stay was amazing but my only negative is that the house is 10min to the closest market and not as close as I had thought to Austin.

Summary - Outside areas are great but house is so-so for price pointPositives - The outside area is excellent. The pickleball court, pool and large turf covered backyard are BIG positives. The check-in process is great and the house manager is available to handle issues/questions.Negatives - The condition and layout of the house are disappointing at the this price point. The interior is a bit dated, some of the kitchen appliances are not fully useful, upper floor A/C could not keep up with the heat load, and the supplies were skimpy and had to be supplemented. Bigger issues were:-missing toilet pocket door in master bedroom-one of the kitchen refrigerators didn't cool very well when loading new items-missing shelves in oven and one of the freezers-shower door handle falling off in one of the bathrooms-downstairs sliding glass door hard to open/close and- only one bathroom for 3 downstairs bedroom.

Perfect for Family Reunions

We stayed here for a small family reunion totaling 15 of all ages and had a fabulous time! The property was clean and as advertised. There were many outdoor activities for everyone including: 1) a lake w/ kayaks, paddle boards, and water toys, 2) a gorgeous infinity pool that felt bigger than the pictures, a sports court for tennis, badminton, & basketball with a large flood light for after hours, 3) a sand volleyball court, 4) cornhole, etc. The large main floor had a great room with a super tall vaulted ceiling and large fan that we used as the central gathering place. It was perfect for games, conversation, eating, and had gorgeous sunset views of the backyard and lake. The owner and property manager were very accommodating and responsive as well. We were able to check-in a little early which worked out perfectly for stocking the fridges in advance with food and drinks. At one point we couldn’t find a spare propane tank for the grill, but the property manager texted back right away with the exact location. Everything you needed to cook and stay entertained was on the property, so we didn’t leave the house at all our entire trip. Overall, it was the perfect getaway for a small’ish family reunion.

Just Perfect

This home was the perfect place for a large family vacation. The house itself is massive, capable of sleeping around 30 people comfortably. It’s also beautiful, clean, and offers an impressive array of possible amenities (pool, hot tub, basketball court, sand volleyball court, ping pong table, billiards table, gym, sauna, putting green, games galore, and a dock). The pictures both do this place justice and don’t: they’re accurate and reflective of the niceness of the place but can’t possibly convey the size and vibes. Add to that the amazing location and views, as the house is situated right on the lake in a part where there are no homes across the water and instead beautiful cliffs and greenery that create a wonderful sunset image. The house is a little far from the airport (about an hour away) and we could not find any Ubers or Lyfts to pick us up on Sunday morning (first around 9 AM and then around 11 AM, though we found them on Saturday and Sunday very early morning). That was frustrating for sure but something just good to keep in mind in advance (so just rent a car, I’d suggest). But the house made up for any of that annoyance. And the house owner and manager were a delight: they were responsive and flexible. For example, when we realized there were no paddles for the kayaks and paddle boards, the owner had new ones delivered within an hour or two. And when we couldn’t leave the house on Sunday morning because there were no cars available, the house manager graciously gave us some more time to leave (which we did upon having a friend with a car pick us up). Overall, this place is amazing, even if it’s expensive. You get what you pay for—which are a stellar home perfect for creating lifelong memories!

A great group/family outing spot!

Loved our time on the property. A sauna/pool dip was a nice way to start the day. Loved the views of the water and the proximity to Pace Bend Park. Obviously the sports courts kept us busy the whole time. Only wish we'd had more time to use the very nice movie room. The turf was a great perk as it rained on us, but didn't leave us with a ton of mud to track around!
