Perfect location!

It was a great home base for our trip to the Osage area. It had everything we needed and was nicely done! So much better than staying in a hotel!!

Nicely Done

Very Good, one flight of stairs , fine for most people but hard for 78 year old. Would llive to find a ground floor just like it for future stays.

Well, first of all the shower didn't have any soap. Second of all, the internet didn't really work that well and kept going in and out.Also, they have very sparse kitchen stuff available.There is no laundry soap or dryer sheets and you have to bring your own.Most alarmingly, the owner feels like he can just pop in unannounced and violate your privacy, which i found very disconcerting. It really made me wonder how many other times he did that while we were there and we might not have even noticed, and made me wonder about our security at night. Also, it's in an area where there are dogs just walking around everywhere, so make sure not to have any food delivered or they will come and eat it right off of the porch. After the dogs came and ate my dinner, the owner then charged me a cleaning fee and told me i was disrespectful. I guess i didn't want to wrestle with a dog i didn't know and that was a problem. Overall it's a strange place to be and i would highly recommend finding another place to go.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet expectations. Regarding supplies, the shower soap/body wash was unintentionally missed during turnover and was restocked the next day as soon as it was brought to our attention. Regarding the internet, there was a brief interruption due to an external provider update and service was restored promptly. We also want to address the privacy concern. Guest privacy is extremely important to us. We did not enter the unit at any time. There was one accidental door contact in the shared stairwell while passing by an adjacent unit; the door briefly opened because it had been left unlocked, and it was immediately closed and apologized for. Access is managed through smart lock codes and logs, and there was no unauthorized access. Finally, because this is a multi-unit property, we require that any food/trash in shared outdoor areas be cleaned up promptly to keep the common areas sanitary for all guests. The cleaning charge referenced was related to cleanup required in the shared area. We appreciate the feedback and will continue improving our supply checklist process for future stays.

I would not return to his property.

Main building Exterior entrance door handle came off when I turned it to enter, no mention of 15 stairs I had to Carry my belongings to the top to enter the apartment, No exterior lights working, the GFCI in the bathroom not working, no instructions on how to work the “Nest brand “ thermostat which operates on Wi-Fi, The Wi-Fi wasn’t working,I was told by owner to watch a YouTube on how to operate a Nest thermostat, and he told me that I wasn’t a priority on his list because he had other guests that needed help.I would never return to his property, nor would I recommend it.

Some suggestions

I did not see in the listing there was a flight of stairs to get to the apartment. This definitely should be called out in the listing. There are things the host could do to make the apartment more homey. The bed pillows need to be replaced with ones thicker than postage stamps, a box of facial tissues and an extra roll of bathroom tissue are a few suggestions. Also, it was very hot in the apartment and when we turned on the ceiling fan over the bed, it really moved a lot on anything other than low. The host should have this looked at and stabilized.
