The rooms were clean & quiet, and kitchen appliances & dishes were sufficient. However the beds were uncomfortable and the living room furniture is old and lumpy. The master bedroom light may have a loose bulb which we couldn’t reach or it may be an electrical problem because it turned itself on in the middle of the night waking us up. The finish on the outdoor wrought iron table is peeling and you come away with paint chips on your hands and arms. Nothing a little TLC couldn’t fix.

We arrived for check in a little early - we were denied access to the building (hoping to use restroom). Told to return at 4:00.Kitchen was nice! Had most everything we needed to do cook meals. The kitchen faucet leaked quite a bit.

Fabulous property

Everything about the property was amazing. The cable box did not work, but it was nice not to have the noise of television anyway. Everything we needed was there for cooking and sleeping. It was wonderful. The only problem we had was that somehow the complex did not have us as checking in on the first night so we had to go find a hotel. They could not get a hold of anyone to verify our reservation. We are being reimbursed for that first night, but it's extremely difficult to find housing for six people at 11 o'clock at night on a Friday in Galveston. Other than that, we would Highly recommend this location.

Great place with a wonderful view!

This property was very spacious, secure, and had a great view of the beach. We loved our stay And the host was awesome. When we come to Galveston, we’re definitely going to stay here again. I highly recommend staying here.

Terrible Experience

Host would not respond to our attempts at communication and failed to address several issues. We were interrupted by maintenance workers and were never notified by the hose they were coming. We were also told we couldn't check in early because the room was being cleaned, only to arrive and see a notice that the room was cleaned three days earlier. Vtrips is horrible to work with.

Family getaway

We wanted a beach to spend our vacation time. We're from the Dallas, tx metro Plex so Galveston was a nice option. Tourist type stuff was VERY expensive. The condo was VERY nice. Right on the beach, out door cooking, pools, theatre, billiard/game room. A lot of jelly fish in the water so long sleeve shirts were necessary.

Great beachfront View

Wonderful family Christmas vacation. The condo was relaxing, roomy, and comfortable. Our favorite part was the heated pool and hot tub. We used the theater room one time with assistance from front desk. Everyone was very pleasen and helpful. The main areas were nicely decorated for Christmas. Would definetly stay there again.

Nice condo with great amenities

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. The condo was very clean. The kitchen was super clean and well organized. There is a washer and dryer in the condo which was helpful. The views of the ocean are amazing from the condo. The beach was just a short walk around the block. We brought a wagon and it worked wonderful to take our items to the beach. We also really appreciated the sand toys at the condo! We did not feel like it was out of date. A couple pieces of furniture were older, but it was great otherwise! The Emerald has awesome amenities, including a beautiful pool, poolside grills, and a movie theater. Our only concern would be the many rules at the Emerald, such as no guests except those listed on the reservation, guests have to wear a wristband, and they expect you to be quiet. Our children are not very quiet lol, but we did not get any complaints so maybe it wasn't too big of an issue. All in all, this was a great place to stay.

Property has somewhat gone down from original glory. Parking was a problem with owner vs guest. Too early a check out at 10 AM! Try going to Mardi Gras all night then getting up early to go!

Loved it!

We had a great time here. The unit was very clean including linens and towels and had everything from the description. One of the balcony doors wasn’t opening and it was fixed after a couple of calls. The balcony was the best part, any time of the day. We will definitely be back!

Good but not for all travelers

The building and amenities were fantastic. The unit we stayed was clean and very nice but a few Simple things could of been done to make it more comfortable; such as a working washing machine, more comfortable current furniture on patio and living room. It would be nice if lights were on dimmers and the patio light worked. I loved that during our stay there were minimal children and roudy guests.

Decent—needs upgrades

The condo was nice but small for 4 adults & 2 teens. 3rd bedroom isn’t a true bedroom but the twin/trundle worked out for teens. Patio needs floor covering and better furniture. Had a set of TV tables that collapsed once using (lost a meal!!) Sinks clogged easily and bathroom faucet was installed backwards. Couldn’t use the pool until 11am, which is awful for young kids who are up early & the heat of the day was a lot already. With COVID concerns there should’ve been a better cancellation policy—non refundable within 60 days is ridiculous. Not easy to get to the beach so we didn’t bother. Area is a little shady too. We had a nice time but will look elsewhere if we return.

Great location and loved the pool

I stayed in unit 1213 not 1111. My reservation was shifted because 1111 became unavailable so the rating is for the unit I stayed in. We liked the unit. We liked the facility. We liked the proximity. Floors were dirty (like make your feet black dirty). But everything else was really nice. The staff of the rental company was very accommodating providing a blowup for us because it had one less bedroom. We were deeply disappointed that renters do not have access to the game room, or the gym. That was not clear at all. However, all in all, we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Awesome location! Amazing neighbors!

Extremely excited that we stayed here! We'll definitely book again and recommend this place! Only a few minor things....the ad should be updated to state that because of Covid-19 all amenities aren't available, like the gameroom area and theater area. Also, the ad states there are items available in the unit that aren't there, like laundry soap, beach towels, and extra trash bags. But the stores are conveniently located so we were able to go buy those items. But the place is so nice that even though the beach is so close, you don't even have to actually go to the beach to have a nice time. Also, the front desk worker, Chloe, is so nice and sweet. She was very personable! 5 STARS!
