Our family of five (ages 56–84) had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Canyon Cottage Hideaway for our annual trip. The cottage is beautiful and filled with unique art pieces, though it is truly outshined by its stunning natural setting. It was mostly spacious for our group, and very clean. We loved how 5he kitchen was stocked with basics ( salt pepper, cooking oil, paper towels)We loved the scenic daily drives and saw plenty of deer (and maybe Sasquatch up CR 103!). Our favorite highlights were DeSoto State Park, Cathedral Caverns, and the antique shops in Fort Payne. While the town of Mentone itself was a bit underwhelming and the water levels were low, everyone was incredibly friendly.It was a memorable trip for our whole family, and I would love to return with my husband in the spring!

Fantastic place!

What a fantastic place to stay for a weekend getaway! Everything was as expected, and Misti was great with communication. Lots of space, a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable areas outside made this some place we would absolutely recommend.

We had a terrific stay in this property. The house was tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything we could want or need. We and our two small dogs were very comfortable here. The view was great, and we especially enjoyed the screened porch area. You could hardly be closer to Little River Falls. Communication with Misti was perfect and management was very accommodative. Overall an outstanding experience.

Wonderful girl’s weekend!

We had a wonderful girl’s weekend in this home! There were 8 of us, and we had plenty of room to visit, play games and craft. The porch is so pretty and also had space for all of us to be comfy. We had a beautiful, restful time together that was full of sweet memories. Everyone loved their beds, the bathrooms were large and easily accommodated 8 women. The kitchen was well-equipped and roomy. Our host, Misti, was quick with responses to questions and so helpful throughout the booking and checkin. Fortunately, we really didn’t need her during our stay, because the instructions were seamless. I would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful location, close to waterfalls and little canyon. Rooms has nice decor and kitchen was well supplied. Enjoyed our stay soaking bit of nature.
