The house is on the quiet east end of Baw Beese Lake, called Third Lake.

Baw Beese Lake is a great paddling lake with access to 4th Lake and Boot Lake. Just paddle under Hudson Ave. ( Route 99).
45 feet of seawalled lake front, with a 28' dock.

You're welcome to bring your boat or jetski. Public launch is available.
Seawall area is shallow enough for the kids to safely play.
Flat yard for yard games.
Lake side firepit, wood provided.
Kayaks for your use: 1 double seat, 3 single seat, 2 kid sized, a 3 seat canoe, and 3 standup paddle boards. Paddles and life jackets, provided for your use. This is a Michigan DNR lake. State laws apply. Life jackets required when paddling. Kayaks and SUPs not available after mid November. Available again as Spring weather allows.
A well stocked kitchen for meal preparation. A variety of coffee pods and teas to get your day started. No ground coffee is supplied.
Primary bedroom has a home office space, with high speed wifi.

Rainy days aren't boring here. We have many board games, ping-pong, a dart board, and a variety of books for your use.
ROKU TV: Watch shows through your favorite apps.
Central air for a cool nights sleep, after a hot summer day.
3 season room is the main dining area with seating for 6 to 8.
Parking available for 4 vehicles.
If bringing a boat trailer, parking is limited to 2 vehicles and trailer.
No parking along the edge of the road or in the yard.

Area attractions:
SANDY BEACH PARK. Beach, playground, volleyball, basketball and a concession stand. It's is a short drive around the lake. $5 a car load. Or walk the Baw Beese trail to get there.
OWENS MEMORIAL PARK, multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, fishing, and a walking trail
DISK GOLF: 9 hole course at Owens Memorial Park.
BAW BEESE TRAIL/ North Country Trail , is 5 houses away at the end of the street.
Restaurants, brewpubs, coffee shops, ice cream, and a variety of shopping located in charming Hillsdale.
HILLSDALE COLLEGE
SILO FUN PARK, is 7 miles away. They have gocarts, mini golf, and an arcade.
WHITE OAKS public golf course is 6 miles away.

This is a 1100 squre foot cottage. 8 people recommended maximum, but 10 is possible. A 5th twin matress is available for on the floor and a twin topper fits the sofa for sleeping purposes.

No pets of any type allowed.

Minimum age 25 to rent.

*Whole house generator in use. It will automatically switch on and off during a power outage.
**Please note: there is parking available for up to 4 vehicles. It's tight parking, but doable. If bringing a trailer, parking decreases to 2 other vehicles. Please notify us if bringing your boat.
No parking is allowed on the grass, or along the edge of the road , it is a narrow road. **
***3 Security cameras are in use, located on the front and rear of house. Not monitored during your stay. No interior cameras.***
****Use of kayaks, SUP, floats, life jackets, dock, blue kayak launch pad, and any items provided on property , is at you own risk. ****

By entering the premises or engaging in any water-based activities, you are acknowledging full responsibility for your actions and those of your companions. It is imperative that you comprehend the risks associated with utilizing any provided equipment.

Baw Beese Lake is a Michigan DNR lake, and as such, all Michigan and DNR regulations and laws regarding lake usage must be adhered to.

By leasing Firefly Cottage through any app, website, or direct booking, you are legally bound to this agreement. This agreement shall remain in effect for the duration of the agreed-upon rental period.
