La suite Eagles Nest est tout le niveau supérieur (1500 pieds carrés) plus le hall d'entrée / bureau de cette maison au bord de l'eau. Il y a un grand salon ouvert avec foyer au gaz et télévision par câble de 42 pouces, solarium, trois patios extérieurs, deux chambres (queen) et (double + twin), deux salles de bains et une chambre séparée dédiée comme salle multimédia avec un canapé-lit queen et TV 46 pouces, stéréo etc. (les enfants et les parents adorent cette pièce pour la télévision dans le couloir depuis le salon)

La maison est directement sur le rivage avec un front de mer calme et protégé. Il y a un vaste plat de marée qui attire les hérons, les aigles et les oiseaux de mer tout en offrant des possibilités de palourdes et de crabe ainsi qu'un lancement de kayak idéal. Une vue imprenable sur l'océan et le mont Baker enneigé amène le plein air dans la véranda, la salle à manger, la cuisine et le salon

La maison est équipée pour vous faire sentir comme chez vous, y compris des bibliothèques de musique, des vidéos et des livres ainsi que des jeux de société. Pour ceux qui sont à l'aise sur l'eau, deux kayaks assis sont disponibles pour explorer la baie abritée. Des jumelles et un télescope sont fournis pour ceux qui apprécient le café du matin dans la salle ensoleillée donnant sur la baie ou pour admirer le ciel nocturne.

Une cuisine spacieuse avec barbecue attenant permet de partager des productions culinaires et des maîtres de barbecue. Asseyez-vous dans la salle à manger pour 6 personnes à la table de la salle à manger avec suffisamment de réglages pour un débordement occasionnel comme les visiteurs d'un jour.

Il y a tous les appareils habituels, grands et petits pour le cuisinier gastronomique. La buanderie a été mise à jour avec des appareils Samsung de grande capacité en 2014. La buanderie et l'abri d'auto sont partagés avec une suite de propriétaires d'une chambre en bas.

Cette maison de vacances spéciale est destinée aux couples et aux familles qui bénéficient d'un environnement paisible au bord de l'eau tout en offrant un accès facile aux activités et aux installations de la ville pittoresque de «Sidney-by-the-Sea».

Aperçu de l'hébergement:

La maison a deux chambres principales avec une troisième chambre dédiée à être une salle multimédia / TV avec TV 46 pouces, équipement stéréo et un canapé-lit queen.

La chambre principale a un lit queen avec toilettes / lavabo et grand dressing.

La deuxième chambre a deux lits, un double / pleine taille, un simple / twin

Il y a généralement 8 ensembles de tout, de la literie aux couverts, dans l'hypothèse d'une occupation maximale de 8 personnes. La maison sera mieux appréciée par deux couples ou un couple avec deux enfants. Il est toujours possible de divertir bien sûr.

Il y a aussi un canapé-lit queen alternatif dans le salon pour ceux qui aiment se lever tôt au lever du soleil rose !!

Les animaux domestiques et le tabagisme ne sont pas autorisés.

Il y a un côté du double abri d'auto disponible pour les clients et un parking pour deux voitures.

Espaces de vie:
Un grand salon et salle à manger décloisonné donne sur l'eau avec de grands canapés (et un autre canapé-lit). Une grande table de salle à manger, une télévision de 42 pouces, une chaîne stéréo avec station d'accueil pour iPod et un foyer au gaz pour une utilisation saisonnière.

Un endroit préféré dans la maison est la salle de soleil lumineuse et aérée qui s'ouvre sur les terrasses extérieures du patio. Un endroit merveilleux pour un café le matin ou un livre de l'après-midi paresseux ou peut-être pour profiter de la faune grâce aux jumelles et télescopes puissants fournis. Il y a un lecteur CD / iPod dans la véranda.

Connexions d'accès et de voyage:

La maison est située sur Roberts Bay Bird Sanctuary qui est à environ 1. 8 km de Sidney Town (20 minutes à pied) et 0. 4 km le long de All Bay Road bordé d'arbres à plusieurs ports de plaisance, le bistrot haut de gamme Seaglass, le restaurant italien 4 étoiles The Latch , un café, une clinique de massage dans un dépanneur, etc.

Il y a beaucoup à faire dans la ville de Sidney et la péninsule de Saanich environnante. L'un des favoris est l'observation des baleines

Il y a aussi le Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, Butchart Gardens, Muse Winery, Panorama Recreation Centre et bien d'autres encore ..... le site Web de la ville de Sidney contient de nombreux liens utiles.

BC Ferries se connectant à Vancouver ou Seattle atterrit à Swartz Bay à 5 km, d'autres liaisons incluent l'aéroport de Victoria (4 km), le ferry Anacortes vers l'État de Washington (2 km) et divers ferries pour passagers et véhicules à destination de Seattle ainsi que des hydravions hors du port de Victoria ( 25 km) et également des hydravions Kenmore dans Pat Bay (à Seattle) (4 km)

Les services de bus pour Victoria et Swartz Bay (donc vers l'aéroport de Vancouver ou le centre-ville (3 heures au total) s'arrêtent juste en face de Resthaven Drive toutes les 30 minutes. Le prix pour Victoria est de 2 $. 75!

Great place with super view.

The Robert's Bay house (really only the upstairs) is a super place to stay for awhile in Sidney, British Columbia. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, the living area is well arranged and comfortable, and most of all the view from either the inside living area or the outdoor deck is super! Our only gripe would be that the TV in living area is very quirky---it could be the provider (Telus) or the system in the unit but either way it was annoying.

Eaglesnest sanctuary

We had a wonderful stay at the Eaglesnest. The property is comfortable; the light is warm; and the views and the location are superb. We spent hours every day in the sunroom, with coffee or a glass of wine, watching the many varieties of ducks in the bird sanctuary, especially the returning buffleheads! We took the kayaks out on the bay, walked or rode the bus into town, and explored the Saanich Peninsula and beyond. Adrian was a pleasure to deal with, always answering questions promptly - and pointing us in the direction of things to do. A very satisfying escape. Thank you, Adrian.

A wonderful stay on Roberts Bay

We recently spent a week at "Eagles Nest" right at the water on Roberts Bay. The location could not have been more magnificent. The pictures on the listing don't do the location justice. What a wonderful, peaceful, picturesque setting! Although we engaged in may activities in Sidney, Victoria, etc. during our stay, some of the nicest time was spent just sitting on the back porch looking out over the water or walking the beach along the bay. Adrian is a gracious and thoughtful host.The house is well appointed and stocked with all a family would need. I was thrilled to find that he had a couple kayaks available to take out on the water and made good use of the opportunity. The location is a perfect "home base" for all sorts of activities including visits to Victoria, Butchart Gardens, and the Cowichan region. One of our best vacations ever!

spring and early summer

We recently enjoyed a lengthy stay at Eagle's Nest in beautiful Sidney BC. This property is very conveniently located near the ferry terminal and international airport for Victoria. The most impressive thing about Eagle's Nest is the view looking out over Roberts Bay straight over to Mount Baker in Washington state. We were very fortunate to have had amazing weather for the entire two months of our stay which made for great sunrises and we found ourselves getting up early enough each day to watch the wildlife in bay begin the day. The house is clean and well equipped and the furniture is comfortable. Very good beds and bedding also. The kitchen is bright, large and well positioned to allow for good interaction while preparing meals. The landlord has thought of just about everything in fitting out this beautiful home with all the right amenities. We really enjoyed our time there and have made plans for a return trip next year. Highly recommended!

close to Victoria Airport and the ferries

Eagles Nest is the perfect place to enjoy the best of Sidney. While the little town is close by, the rental home feels miles away. Situated on the scenic and protected Roberts Bay, it is easy to forgo other excursions while captivated by the view of snow-covered Mt. Baker, truly awe-inspiring sunrises if you are an early riser, heron, Canada geese and gulls. The second floor of this very clean home is spacious and accommodating. The beds are comfortable. The master has comfy Charisma linens and a much-welcomed down comforter for the chilly evenings. Also a large walk-in closet along with terry robes and slippers gave a relaxing touch. I would easily and highly recommend this wonderful property with one caveat. The traffic noise on busy Resthaven can be a possible concern for light sleepers. Closing the windows helps. All in all, just idyllic!

Wonderful ocean-side home-away-from-home

Eagle's Nest was a perfect vacation home for me and my niece, we both LOVED it and highly recommend it. It's clean, well maintained, comfortable and beautifully furnished, with large windows that bring the ocean indoors. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped; the BBQ grill is large and high quality, as are the washer and dryer. Both bedrooms are nice, especially the master, with a highly organized walk-in closet and attached 1/2-bath. If you need a 3rd bedroom, the media room has a sofa bed and a door for privacy. The bathrooms are clean and nice, with a good shower and big tub. The free long-distance internet phones work fine in the media room. This rental is as described and pictured on vrbo - be sure to watch the video. The patio overlooking the ocean is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner, as is the bistro table (for 2) in the sun room. You will undoubtedly find yourself sitting in the sun room, rain or shine, watching the ocean – what a beautiful view. My niece and I easily launched the kayaks from the backyard, and we enjoyed walking along the tidal flat when the tide was out. This rental is easy to get to and is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It's ideally situated to: the ferries at Swartz Bay (5 minute drive), Van Isle Marina with its beautiful yachts and wonderful Sea Glass Waterfront Grill (5 minute walk), downtown Sidney (which is both cute and practical; 3 minute drive), and the Victoria International Airport (12 minute drive). It was easy to get to Butchart Gardens and the Cowichan Valley by car, and the bus to Victoria was very convenient. We had initially considered staying on one of the smaller islands (Salt Spring, etc.) but Eagle's Nest has a huge advantage if you want to explore Vancouver Island like we did – you aren't at the mercy of the ferry schedules except for visiting the smaller islands. Adrian, the owner, is considerate, friendly, and available by phone or email. He responded quickly to my inquiries and requests, and made us feel very welcome.

Peace and harmony

Adrian has fitted out his property with great care thus making it extremely comfortable to stay in. The views from the sitting room area are very interesting overlooking the bay, watching the many heron feeding at low tide. Sidney is a charming town and well within walking distance, about 20 to 30 minutes away. (depending on your age and speed!). We stayed for three weeks and joined the local library, however, Adrian has ensured there are plenty of books and games in the apartment . Eagles Nest is by a bus route with stops a couple of minutes away and for $2.75 you seem to be able to travel anywhere on the Island.

Beautiful and comfortable

Spent a lovely week at Eagles’ Nest. It’s a great location and the view from the sunroom and balconies were calming and serene. There is lots to do on this part of the island. Adrian was easy to communicate with and we had everything we needed.

Beautiful location with amazing view.

We were very pleased with this property. Very clean and neat with comfortable beds and great pillows! Nice cozy fireplace and sun room facing the ocean. Adrian was so wonderful to deal with...very attentive and kept in touch with several emails to ensure we had all the information we needed and followed up with a phone call. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants comfort, a beautiful ocean view, and a caring owner. Only one small observation: the kitchen pots and pans, flatware, knives, and BBQ tools all need to be upgraded. But I love cooking so this may not be an issue for others. Wonderful apartment--comfortable, clean, well-equipped with beautiful view of beach

This apartment has everything going for it. It has a beach at the back door that is great for exploring, watching the wildlife--we saw Orcas, seals, eagles, herons--or just enjoying from the sunroom or patio (we saw some beautiful sunrises over the water, with Mount Baker in the background). We had 5 people staying in the apartment comfortably, with 2-3 more for supper, and we all fit around the dining room table! The kitchen was large, and great for preparing meals for 6-8 people. You can walk easily to the downtown (2 km), and there is a great restaurant--Sea Glass Restaurant at the harbour 5 minutes away with unique, great food. Several of our group rented bikes from Here by Bike several blocks away, and they enjoyed biking to Victoria, and around the Saanich peninsula--there are excellent bike trails and lanes throughout the area. There is a lot to see and do in the area, and this is a great apartment to use as a home base.

Great location

A little bit of paradise

Beautiful location on Roberts Bay Easy access to the town of Sydney which we really enjoyed with all of it's activities and good restaurants. Very comfortable home to spend time just ŕelaxing and watching the tide and the view of the snow capped mountains. Manager was very helpful to make our stay very enjoyable. We definitely recommend this home and are considering returning in the future.

As a globe trotting family Eaglenest was the choice in the world for our family home with Sidney and Victoria the friendly communities we chose to land in. In fact several like minded guests have gone on to become neighbours after purchasing homes in the area after a winter stay. We have updated and equipped Eaglesnest for extended stay new arrivals and visitors to allow us to continue to share our wonderful piece of paradise.

We love this location for the oceanfront views, the wildlife (on the migratory seabird pathway) walking along the shore into town, nearby marinas and restaurants for a morning breakfast walk... it is one of the most sheltered low bank waterfronts in the area and perfect for kayaking, clamming and just soaking up birds and otters of Roberts Bay.

Pink sunrises silhouette a distant snow capped Mount Baker and glints off duck trails across the mirrored waters of Roberts Bay bird sanctuary. Colorful kayakers launch nearby to explore Gulf Islands National park. Amble along tree lined All Bay road to coffee shops, corner store, massage therapists, intermingled with the marinas and yacht charters. Walk a mile or so the other way to the Library, playgrounds and Beacon Avenue shops and services.
