Girls weekend getaway. New build; house is spotless; kitchen is fully stocked. We LOVED sitting in the picture window overlooking the valley, watching the hawks soar. We are excited to return in the summer and enjoy the pool.

The house and location are amazing! Be advised, the internet is not strong enough or configured correctly to do much work/streaming. I would go back, but would request that the internet be set up to do basic things as my cell service did not work either.

While the property itself is a bit remote (we liked that part), it is maybe 5 miles from downtown Calistoga. Beautiful new house. Gorgeous views. Very relaxing and quiet, but with all first class comforts.

Beautiful and quiet

A beautiful, quiet location. The property was lovely with everything you could need. The sheets on the bed were the only downside - thin and cheap and pilling. The towels were great though!

Lovey property

The property is well located and quite secluded. Beautiful view and comfortable amenities. Communication was a little tough with Turnkey but was eventually worked out, did not receive code at promised time, took 45 minutes to get it. That being said, we would definitely stay there again.

We love this place, but please get a new bed

This is one of my favorite rentals I have ever stayed at. Everything has been done with such quality, except for the bed. It’s is a very low quality Mattess and the bed frame is so squeaky. Please get a new bed and we will be back many more times to enjoy this wonderful place of peace and rest.

Privacy with views

We loved the property. Recommend using Google maps for directions as our car rental GPS gave us a bit of an issue getting to the property. We would absolutely stay at this property again. It is perfect for two. Very clean, beautiful views, and enjoyed a glass of wine out on the deck or hot tub. A grill would have been nice but we understand doing so in the dry season would be too risky. Really loved how private the property was (gated entry and on a hill) and the night sky views were as gorgeous as the day. Highly recommend!

Beautiful remote/secluded getaway

The pictures of the property are accurate. I would recommend reading every review for a property versus being swept up by how nice a property looks.. I say this because although this property is stunning, there were so many reviews about the bed and linen that span over two years and the reviews are absolutely accurate.. also we experienced a sink in the full bath that didn’t drain well, a ceiling fan that did not work and walls that would benefit from a little touch up paint. I spoken to the property management company a couple of times, but I got the feeling of being placated. Again, a beautiful remote property with a private driveway atop a hill.

Beautiful, well appointed isolated house.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is brand new, immaculate and perfect for a couple who want to explore Sonoma and retire for the night in peace. Deducting one star for the check in process as previous renters had called out lack of cell service in getting the code to check in. I really had to insist that TurnKey provide the code before we get there. I’m glad that I put my foot down as there is no service and we never got the unprotected wifi to work (backup password protected wifi worked great).

Gorgeous and secluded house on top of the hill!

We spent an amazing weekend in one of the most amazing properties. It’s 100% secluded but that’s what’s we wanted. About a 10 min drive to stores, downtown Calistoga, but still close to some amazing wineries. We absolutely loved everything except the check in. We were told there was absolutely no early check in and 4pm was as early as we could go. We would not receive a code to get in until we called. I called at 4 and was put on hold for 10 minutes because of the terrible service in the area it disconnected us and had to go through the process again. I might advise with the ability to text and email that you send that info directly to the renter at the time we are allowed to check in. Other than the checkin fiasco the house was absolutely perfect! We have never felt so relaxed!

Beware of checkin process!

Note that you will NOT get your lockbox code a minute before 4pm - and there is NO CELL reception at the property. This means you will have to drive to Calistoga to get your access code to your property. The property manager was extremely unhelpful when I called a mere 30 minutes before check in to ask for the code. Also, note the bed is very hard and just a rickety metal frame with mattress on top. A stark contrast to the otherwise gorgeous design and spotless house in fantastic location. As long as you know and are ok with these issues you will love your stay - we did!

Bring your sheets

This house has a terrific location if you want quiet and privacy and great nature views. There are two drawbacks: the sheets on the bed are really cheap uncomfortable stuff that comes off the mattress all the time. Perhaps bring your own. Also, the living room chairs are not very good for any longer reading, so if you are looking to go there to lounge and read books comfortably, this might not be for you (or just don’t plan to read much if reading comfort is important to you). Lastly, check the hot tub water and if it seems very chlorinated or off check with the manager to get it serviced. When we stayed the water chemistry was apparently way off which we only found after the pool specialist had to drain the whole thing upon checking it out and after getting a chlorine rash.

Beautiful home, but feels remote when it comes to communication

This home is new, smallish and lovely. The view is amazing, as the home sits at the top of a hill, with expansive vistas. It's exactly as presented in the listing and very private. The hot tub was wonderful as was the star gazing after dark. I'm rating a 4 for two reasons. 1) The digital experience was not good. The Turnkey Wifi kept dropping us and the back up Wifi would not allow us to receive nor send certain text messages. The streaming for the TV was absolutely miserable. It was impossible to watch, as it was constantly skipping and freezing. I think the chance of this is noted in the listing, but our experience was that it might as well not have had a TV, as it was not watchable. 2) Temps were in the high 80's to low 90's during our stay, beautiful sunny days, and there was little opportunity to escape the sun in the late afternoon. Even in the house, the sun shown thru windows with no shades, so that was a bit challenging. More shade would make the gorgeous outdoor space much more useable. We did see an umbrella stand that would have worked well to provide necessary shade, but the umbrella was locked in the garage. Given the previous reviews of others, we called Turnkey well before we arrived, and had no issue obtaining the door code or entering the home. Cell service is non-existent in the immediate area, so if power had been lost as described by a previous renter, I don't know what we would have done with no generator and therefore no communication. We were lucky and had no issues, but the overall experience of this beautiful home and location could be much enhanced by making a few improvements.

About that bed!

This property is everything it says it is. Secluded, romantic, new, stunning nature and views! However, it’s also everything all the other reviews says it is too! Hard to communicate with, sketchy or non existent cell service and WiFi, extremely warm if the weather is hot, terrible, completely awful bed and bedding, for the price point, this one little adjustment would make everything else bearable! “They”say there is weekly trash and landscaping and pool maintenance, we stayed for a week and didn’t see any of these services, maybe just a post covid deal, and once services get up to full capacity these things will resume? The outside garbage cans were full with others trash, and recycle, which isn’t a problem really just kind of shocking to have it like that and not attended to the entire time we were there! One thing to note that I haven’t seen others mention, there is a second locked bedroom, I’m assuming is used by the owners but it could be a little off putting for some who weren’t made aware of it, and have OCD! I spent an exorbitant amount of time wondering if someone was in there! And also the Glass fire got close, like extremely close to the house, if you’ve been traumatized by fire, trust me this isn’t the house for you to stay in, evidence of this catastrophe is right outside every window and door! It is a marvel though to know the firefighters were able to save this property! Kudos to them, as it looks like a valiant battle was fought in the yard and forest surrounding this home! All of this said we would stay again, just going in a little more informed with the ability to bring our own bedding at least, but for real as this is a complaint in almost all other reviews, it’s time for the property manager and owners to do SOMETHING ABOUT THE BED!! You wouldn’t accept a horrible sleeping experience at a hotel costing this much per night, and you really shouldn’t have to here either! (There are other places to shop for furniture,, than IKEA) If you are wanting seclusion, and breathtaking views, and a kitchen to do your own cooking with the lovely supplies the valley offers and you don’t mind the above mentioned things then this is the place you’ve been searching for! Private, but close enough to everything!

That being said we apologize for any issues you encountered. All home information is emailed to guests prior to arrival. Due to the rural nature of this home, the only wifi provider is not as fast as standard connections in more populated areas. We wish we had known about the trash and linens during your visit. Our 24/7 guest hotline is always available to call should anything come up during your stay. While mattress preferences vary greatly by person, we do apologize for any inconvenience. We value your feedback, and sharing this detail with the homeowner. Rest assured our local homecare team is following up with the scheduled vendors for the trash as well as inspecting all linens in the home.
